Reed’s Birthday Toy Drive ❤️

This year, as we honor and celebrate Reed’s birthday, we want to spread the same joy, comfort, and smiles that meant so much to him throughout his life.

In memory of Reed, we are collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to the hospital unit where he spent so much of his time. Our hope is that these gifts will bring happiness and encouragement to children and families facing their own medical journeys.

We will also be collecting items to make a basket for the nurses that cared so much about our boy!

The children range from babies to teenagers!
Items such as toys, crafts, teenager crafts, water bottles and anything you think would make them happy!

If you would like to help us celebrate Reed’s life and legacy, donations can be dropped off at Yzoes or with me.

I will also be making an Amazon wishlist to give some ideas and for those that are not close and want to give also! If you also want to make a monetary donation for us to purchase items for the kids and nurses just message me.

Thank you for helping us keep Reed’s memory alive through kindness, generosity, and love. Every toy donated is a reminder that his light continues to shine and make a difference in the lives of others.

Our sweet Reed Lyle gained his angel wings yesterday May 2nd at 10:18 AM in our arms surround by so many loved ones.
Our hearts are shattered in ways we can’t even begin to explain.

You were so deeply loved from the very beginning, and you will be forever. You changed our lives in the most beautiful ways, and we will carry you with us in everything we do. You fought so dang hard baby boy.
As hard as this here, you get to live in a pain free, hospital free place. We know you are being taken care of up there but gosh I wish I could’ve went with you.
I don’t know how I am going to live this life without my baby. My heart hurts so bad. I’m completely broken.

Tonight we finally got to hold our baby boy again ❤️

The past few days have been really hard, Reed remains stable right now.

Today his dialysis line stopped giving blood return. So he is off of it for the night and we are going to talk in the morning as for what’s to come next. The big question is, is all of this prolonging or actually helping him heal. And we have a big care team conference on Thursday to talk about everything.

Please pray we get some answers ❤️

Tonight felt calm, we got to love on our baby. But also with that comes extreme worry, constantly watching the monitors and numbers and making sure he could handle being held. He is so fragile right now and his little body is so tired but still fighting! ❤️

Reed has again taken a turn for the worst. He’s struggling to breathe. Putting the breathing tube back in will not heal his lungs. His kidneys cannot function without the dialysis right now, his heart has been having some weird rapid beats they are unsure of.
Overall his body is tired, Reed is tired.
Please pray during this really hard time. 😭❤️

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to the school staff, students, and families for the incredible love and support shown for our sweet boy by having everyone wear Bluey/ blue to show our boy so much love. This thoughtful gesture meant more to our family than words can fully express. During such a difficult time, seeing everyone come together in kindness and solidarity brought us comfort, encouragement, and so much joy. Your compassion has reminded us that we are not facing this journey alone, and we are deeply grateful to be part of such a caring community. Thank you for lifting our spirits and surrounding our child with so much love.

No really new update, which most of the time is a good thing!!

Reed is remaining stable! Still breathing better with the dialysis taking fluid off of him. We are not sure how long he will need the dialysis.
We are still just all trying to keep him as comfortable as possible.

We are so proud of our boy for fighting so dang hard.
This is not just his fight. We are are standing right with him fighting for him!

Thank you all for the prayers, we are so lucky.
Hoping the next big step is extubation!

The dialysis is doing exactly what we need it to be doing. Reed is breathing so much better and has been able to be weaned a tiny bit on the vent because the fluid being moved out of him. His kidneys are getting the time to recover that they need. He still is very positive in fluid so they will keep the dialysis for a few more days at least.
He is improving that is what matters! ❤️

This boy has beat every odd.
He is so strong. He has been through so much. He doesn’t deserve this. Thank God he is strong but he shouldn’t have to be.
No kid should have to be this brave. Fighting battles he never asked for.
As much as I wish I could take it all away I can’t. But I can promise him
I will fight for him. I will be his voice. His protector and safe place.
This is all so exhausting, we are all tired.
We miss home. We miss the Reed we once had and are fighting to get back there! 🤍
Thank you everyone for the prayers, we are having much better days and can only pray for him to keep improving.
