We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Terry Lemerond, founder of Terry Naturally and a true pioneer in the natural health industry.

For independent health food stores like Act Natural Health Foods, Terry’s legacy is especially meaningful. He spent decades championing natural health, creating products people could trust, and supporting the independent retailers who work every day to serve and educate their communities.

Terry Naturally has long been an important part of our store, but Terry’s influence went far beyond the products on our shelves. His passion, knowledge, generosity, and commitment to this industry helped shape natural health retail into what it is today.

We are grateful for everything Terry contributed to our industry and for the support Terry Naturally has shown independent stores like ours throughout the years.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, the entire EuroPharma/Terry Naturally team, and everyone whose life he touched.

A remarkable legacy and a tremendous loss.

Myth: Skim Milk is healthier than whole milk

Busted! The research favors whole milk as being healthier. Called the “skim milk paradox” and sometimes the "whole milk paradox," using whole instead of skim milk is associated with a lower risk of diabetes. Key fatty acids in milk fat, such as trans-palmitoleic acid, are associated with many metabolic benefits https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23407305/

Meanwhile, you don’t put on more weight using whole milk vs skim. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1014296 . This applies to children as well https://ajcn.nutrition.org/article/S0002-9165(22)01003-6/fulltext . The whole milk, imho, tastes much better as well. So enjoy!
