Today, we honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day and recognize the history, cultures, resilience, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities.
This day is also an opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect on the importance of respect, representation, and honoring the people whose histories are deeply connected to the land we share.
At Connecticut Counseling Group, we believe stronger communities are built through understanding, compassion, and respect for every person’s story.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the courage of first responders and everyday heroes, and recognize the strength of the families and communities forever changed by that day.

May we continue to carry forward the values of compassion, unity, and support for one another.

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we stand together to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind anyone who may be struggling that help is available.

Sometimes support begins with something simple: checking in, listening, staying present, and letting someone know they matter.

You never have to have all the right words. Compassion, connection, and a willingness to listen can be powerful.

If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support in the U.S., call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

You are not alone. Help is available. Hope is possible.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, encourage open conversations, and remind one another that support is available.

At Connecticut Counseling Group, we believe that connection, compassion, and access to mental health care can make a meaningful difference. Checking in on someone, listening without judgment, sharing resources, and encouraging professional support can all help create a stronger, more caring community.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you do not have to face it alone. In the U.S., call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline for free, confidential support.

This month, and every month, let’s choose compassion, connection, and hope.
