Day #2 EMS Week, 2026
This afternoon, the clouds parted just in time for us to provide a little outreach. Local high school students got to walk through a mock car accident. The scenario focused on the dangers of drinking and driving as well as distracted driving. After the accident, several first responders were on hand to talk with students of all ages. Volunteers from all 3 county ambulance crews, Stanford Rural Fire, Judith Basin County Sheriff’s Office, MT Highway Patrol, MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks and White Wolf Towing helped make this day so successful!! Special thanks to Stanford EMT Mariah Estell for all of her hard work planning and executing this event.

Today kicks off EMS week. We have some pretty amazing members of this volunteer service. We don’t do it for the money or even any sort of thank you. That said, most of us like hugs!* This week might be a great time to show your appreciation for the folks in your community who are always ready and willing to leave their families, homes and often hot meals to help.

What are you up to tomorrow morning?? Help us cheer on our fabulous partners!!

It's already time for the Flame of Hope to visit our area. Our leg of the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Montana will begin tomorrow (5/8) morning at 830am at the Courthouse in Stanford. Runners and bikers, along with local Law Enforcement vehicles will make a lap through Stanford, then hit the road to help deliver the torch to Fergus County as it makes its way across our great state. We'd love your help in showing support for this great event! Come on out, cheer loud, honk if you see us on the highway. We're also hoping to be to Hobson by approximately 1030 and would love to hear some encouraging voices there!! Just listen for the sirens and come out to cheer!

Look what the cuter half of the Denton duo was up to this morning! Janette is the most recent JB County trained Nationally Registered EMT! Denton ambulance also gets her for their everyday roster, but she’s bound to be around here sometimes. Congratulations!!!!

As of this morning, Jake has become the most recent Nationally Registered EMT trained in JB County. We did our neighbors in Denton a little favor, so they’ll get to take advantage of his skills on the regular, but I bet he’ll be around here from time to time! Congratulations, Jake!!!
