This little corner bed by the steps needed a makeover and with the help of my niece who was staying with us for a couple weeks we turned it into a gnome village with mushrooms and hedgehogs ❤️ 🍄 🦔

Another good reason to leave the Dandelions in your yard, along with the fact they are an excellent herb for the liver, is the entertainment value of watching goldfinches flitting from flower to flower, dancing with the Dandelions.

The “blue moon” last night was covered by storm clouds until about 11:30. When she finally popped out she was spectacular 🤩

During the full moon is the best time to harvest aboveground plants who are ready to share their gifts. Today it’s sweetgrass, roses, chickweed, plantain, oregano, catnip and several more. The drying room smells delicious 🥰

It's been a couple years since I've seen the momma snapping turtle who has chosen Red Road Herbs as a safe place to lay her eggs. I missed her last year, but if you use the magnifying glass to search our page, you'll find a cool video of her laying eggs in May of 2024 just a few feet from our front door. This year she chose a newly planted calendula bed and it's totally worth having to replant a few seeds to let her use the soft soil for this year's clutch. I set an alert for 70 days and will keep an eye out for the hatchlings on August 5th.
