A New Chapter for Hill Tribe ❤️

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to close the doors to Hill Tribe’s brick + mortar location here in Starbuck.

When I opened this space, I took a chance on something I believed in. This little store has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, share products and knowledge that mean something to me, and continue building a business rooted in wellness, community, culture and accessibility. I’m incredibly thankful for every person who walked through these doors, made a purchase, shared a post, attended an event, stopped in to talk, or simply supported the vision. It has truly been a blessing and an experience I’ll always carry with me.

As my family and I begin transitioning into a new chapter and I spend more of my time in the Twin Cities, maintaining a brick + mortar location here simply no longer makes sense. And sometimes growth means being willing to recognize when it’s time for something to change.

Hill Tribe is NOT going away. ❤️We will remain fully available online, continue doing vendor shows and events, and I look forward to eventually establishing a more permanent presence in the Twin Cities as that transition unfolds.

For now, I’m choosing to be grateful for what this chapter gave me and excited about what the next one will bring.

And before we officially close these doors… we will be having a STORE LIQUIDATION SALE! 👀 Details and dates will be announced very soon.

Thank you, Starbuck, and thank you to everyone who has supported Hill Tribe in any capacity. This isn’t goodbye. We’re just growing in a different direction.

This morning marked a special milestone for Hill Tribe Holistics as we hosted our very first community mindfulness meditation.

I’ve always believed that wellness is about more than the physical. It’s about nurturing the mind, honoring the spirit, respecting Creation, and remembering that healing often happens in community. While today’s meditation wasn’t a traditional Mvskoke ceremony, it was inspired by those values of gratitude, reflection, and connection that continue to guide me.

Seeing members of our community choose to spend part of their Fourth of July morning slowing down, breathing deeply, and simply being present was incredibly meaningful. Every journey begins with a single step, and today felt like the beginning of something beautiful. I was so caught up in leading the session and welcoming everyone in I did not take photos, and that’s not a bad problem to have.

Mvto (thank you) to everyone who joined us, supported us, and continues to believe in the vision of Hill Tribe Holistics. My hope is that this space continues to grow into one where people from all walks of life feel welcome to reconnectwith themselves, with one another, and with the world around them. 💛

Hill Tribe Holistics will be closed tomorrow, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

For those who may not be familiar, Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865—the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. It is recognized as the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States and became a federal holiday in 2021.

As a Black and Indigenous-owned business, I take this day to honor the resilience, strength, and sacrifices of my ancestors and the generations who endured unimaginable hardships while continuing to build community, culture, and hope for those who would come after them.

Tomorrow is a day for reflection, education, remembrance, and gratitude. Hill Tribe Holistics will be closed as I spend time honoring those who came before me and the freedoms that many fought so hard to secure.

Thank you for your understanding, and I wish everyone a meaningful Juneteenth.
