This year marks 35 years of University Orthopedics Center, and what an incredible journey it has been.
What started as a single office in State College in 1991 has grown into one of the region’s premier orthopedic practices. Along the way, we’ve experienced challenges, celebrated victories, embraced innovation, and—most importantly—never lost sight of our mission:
To provide the highest quality orthopedic care to every patient who trusts us with their health.
Today, University Orthopedics Center is proud to be home to:
🏥 14 orthopedic surgeons, with 2 more joining our team soon, along with specialists in sports medicine, neurosurgery, pain management, and chiropractic care, complemented by 19 physician assistants.

We’ve continued to invest in our communities by building physician-owned outpatient surgery centers—including UOC Surgery & Specialty Center in State College and the Advanced Center for Surgery in Altoona—while expanding services that make orthopedic care more convenient than ever.

Most recently, we launched HURT, our FREE 24/7/365 orthopedic injury app, giving both new and existing patients immediate access to orthopedic expertise in real-time whenever injuries happen.
