Every recovery story starts with a goal that matters to the person living it. For Ms. Linda Gibson, that goal was simple: get home to her cat.

After a fall left her struggling with walking and transfers, Linda came to Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center for short-term rehab. Working closely with our nursing and therapy team, she set her own goals and has been meeting them one step at a time, literally. She's now walking with a rolling walker and completing transfers with support.

Families trust us with the people they love most because our team treats every resident's goals as our own. That's the peace of mind we're here to provide.

Ms. Carol came to Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center on May 5 for short-term rehabilitation after a hospital stay. Initially needing significant help with mobility, she was determined to regain her independence and return to her assisted living community. Through hard work, she achieved her therapy goals—leaving our center able to walk 75 feet with a rolling walker, complete her daily activities independently, and continue her exercises at home.

Congratulations, Ms. Carol! We’re proud of your incredible progress and grateful you trusted our team to help you get back on your feet!

This week, we are celebrating the people who show up every single day with skill, heart, and a genuine commitment to the residents in their care.
National Skilled Nursing Care Week is our opportunity to say what we hope our team already knows: what you do matters. The patience you offer during a hard moment. The familiar face that brings comfort when family can't be there. The small gestures that make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little warmer.
This year's theme, "Moments in Bloom," says it beautifully. It's the everyday acts of compassion, big and small, that grow into something meaningful for residents, families, and the people who care for them. We are proud to witness that in our centers, every day.
To our nurses, aides, therapists, and every member of our care teams: thank you for every moment you give. They matter more than you know.
