Where, you ask?

The Coffee Shop in Richmond, Ohio, for the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Coffee and Connections event.

Coffee and Connections is a monthly morning networking event hosted by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. This event rotates to a different Chamber member business location each month.

We’ve built some really deep connections and some really strong partnerships.

Relationships are not built overnight; they are cultivated through open communication and intentionality.

We have amazing communities throughout our Ohio Valley.

A-PLUS is a social group where people connect and grow together, learning how to navigate life and community.

Peer-to-peer communication and engagement are all about connecting with others, sharing similar backgrounds, experiences, or social inquiries.

It’s a way for individuals to interact in a safe and supportive environment with peers and learn what works and what doesn’t.

Origins and History

🏭Industrial Struggle: The holiday began in the late 19th century during the Industrial Revolution.

👷Hard Conditions: Workers often faced 12-hour days and unsafe environments.

🚧Union Action: Labor unions organized strikes and parades to demand fair pay and better hours.First March: On September 5, 1882, a large parade of workers marched in New York City.

🖊️Federal Recognition: President Grover Cleveland signed a law making it a national holiday in 1894.
