When I first started specializing in acne and corrective skincare, I learned pretty quickly that inflammation is at the root of almost every skin concern we treat. Acne, rosacea, pigmentation, sensitivity, accelerated aging… inflammation plays a role in all of it.

That’s why I fell in love with Glacial.

How to Adjust Your Skincare Routine Around Your Workouts 🏋🏼‍♀️

One of the questions I get asked most often is how to fit skincare around your gym schedule. The good news? It doesn’t have to be complicated.

☀️ Morning Workout

Don’t apply your entire routine just to sweat it off.

Before your workout:
• Cleanse
• Hydrate
• SPF

Keep it simple, but don’t skip it completely. Washing away your nighttime products and giving your skin hydration and protection helps support a healthy skin barrier during your workout.

Skipping moisturizer can leave skin dehydrated, irritated, and trigger excess oil production and inflammation.

🏃 Midday Workout

Before your workout:
• Remove makeup
• Hyacyn

After your workout:
• Cleanse
• Hydrate
• SPF

This helps remove sweat, oil, and makeup while keeping your skin protected for the rest of the day.

🌙 Night Workout

Before your workout:
• Remove makeup
• Hyacyn

After your workout:
• Complete your full nighttime skincare routine

💡 Most Important Rule:

Cleanse your skin as soon as possible after sweating. This includes your face, chest, back, and body.

Sweat sitting on the skin can contribute to congestion, irritation, and breakouts.

Can’t shower right away?

Mist with Hyacyn to help reduce acne-causing bacteria, support the skin’s pH, and keep skin feeling fresh until you can properly cleanse.

And don’t forget to reapply your SPF if it’s still light out 🤭☀️
