itā€™s thaw, season, roast, rest. thatā€™s it. swipe for the whole thing, start to finish.

the biggest tip? dry skin is crispy skin. pat it down, salt it well, and let a thermometer tell you when itā€™s done. 165Ā°F in the thigh and youā€™re golden.

and save those bones. one bird turns into a roast dinner, leftovers, and a pot of broth.

our chickens are pasture raised and processed right here on the farm. $6 a pound, delivered frozen and ready for your freezer.

hereā€™s what iā€™d look at before you buy:

1. how much outdoor access the label actually promises
2. whether thereā€™s a third party seal
3. what ā€œnaturalā€ does and doesnā€™t cover
4. who raised the bird and where it was processed

ours are raised on open pasture and processed right here on the farm, so thereā€™s no middleman and no guesswork.

yes, the same tallow from our beef. we render it slowly, whip it with jojoba and essential oils, and pour it into a 4oz jar. thatā€™s it. short ingredient list, nothing you canā€™t pronounce.
