Hyperpigmentation can be caused by facial scarring, sun damage, inflammation, hormones, health conditions, and even medications.

In many cases, professional skin treatments combined with an at-home skincare regimen can brighten the skin, reducing the appearance of dark spots and patches.

For this patient, we treated her with a combination of HydraFacial and VI Peel. This combination approach helped fade the skin darkening and brighten her skin for a smoother, even look.

Other treatments that help with hyperpigmentation include our broadband light (BBL), microneedling, and other chemical peels, such as Perfect Derma Peel and PCA Peel.

Our recommendations are based on a skin and health evaluation during a consultation in our Kent Island skincare practice.

We ended our AES conference with a trampoline class, and it may have been the most fun I had all week! 😂
