🇺🇸 In celebration of our nation's 250th Birthday, Stigler Primary Care Clinic will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. Since Independence Day falls on Saturday, we will be observing the holiday on Friday so our employees can celebrate America's Semiquincentennial with their families and friends.

A little history lesson: While we celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, the Continental Congress actually voted in favor of declaring independence on July 2, 1776. Two days later, on July 4th, the delegates formally adopted the Declaration of Independence. Drafted primarily by Thomas Jefferson, the document outlined the colonies' reasons for self-governance and marked the birth of a new nation.

The rest, as they say, is history. We showed the British the door and sent them packing—reportedly to the tune of "The World Turned Upside Down."

As the world's oldest continuous representative democracy, here's to 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and self-government—and to 250 more!

Haskell County – Our Senior Citizens Need Our Help

In coordination with Compassion Home Care, Sans Bois Hospice, LLC, Hope Home Medical Supply, and Stigler Primary Care Clinic, we are organizing a community fundraiser to support our local senior citizens during the upcoming summer months.

Many seniors in our area are living in homes with little to no air conditioning and are at serious risk during Oklahoma’s extreme summer heat. We are asking for donations of box fans and cases of bottled water to help keep them safe and hydrated.

Donations can be dropped off at:
Hope Home Medical Supply Warehouse
108 NW 10th St Stigler, OK 74462
(Located behind Shearwood Chiropractic on the west side of town)

In addition, the Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will have their bloodmobile stationed in front of Hope Home Medical Supply during the event. Community members are encouraged to donate blood if able—one donation can save multiple lives.

To help kick off the drive:

* Hope Home Medical Supply will be donating 20 cases of water and 10 box fans
* Stigler Primary Care Clinic will also be donating 20 cases of water and 10 box fans

Let’s come together as a community to protect and care for our seniors during the hottest months of the year. Every donation makes a difference.

Good morning Stigler!

Just a reminder of our clinic hours: Stigler Primary Care Clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed for lunch from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Our walk-in schedule is simple—just come in anytime we’re open (except during lunch). We know illness doesn’t follow a schedule, so our walk-in availability stays consistent all day, every day.

In service to our Veterans, we are a certified VA Urgent Care Clinic. Veterans with sprains, minor cuts, fever, cough, or congestion can be seen here, and the VA will cover the visit, including medications.
Please note two VA requirements:
• You must have a VA ID card
• You must have been seen at a VA clinic or hospital within the past 2 years

We also offer a wide range of services, including:
• Weight management
• Ear cleanings
• Diabetes management
• Allergy shots
• Physicals
• Wart removal
…and much more!

All labs are done in-house, with results available within 24 hours.

A large part of my job is assisting Medicare patients in care coordination..making sure you have access to your meds, finding resources to make health care easier, understanding your Medicare..but most importantly, I make those annoying phone calls to let you know you’re due for your preventative screenings.
I know, no one wants to go get a mammogram or a colonoscopy. They’re uncomfortable, the prep is less than pleasant, they’re awkward, and it’s more intimate than any of us want to be with our providers. I’ve been told no to these screenings in some pretty colorful ways, and trust me, I don’t want to make the call any more than you want to receive it. But you know what’s worse than a screening? Being told you waited too late to get screened.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care if you’re rich, poor, go to church every Sunday, or feed the homeless, it waits for no one and doesn’t care what you’ve got going on in your life.
🔴 In the United States, colorectal cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and the fourth leading cause in women, but it’s the second most common cause of cancer deaths when numbers for men and women are combined. It’s expected to cause about 55,230 deaths during 2026.
🔴 Incidence of invasive breast cancer has been rising since the mid-2000s, increasing by an average of 1% per year from 2013 to 2022, with faster growth among women under 50 (1.4% per year). An estimated 43,000 people in the U.S. are expected to die from the disease this year.
🟢 With early detection, colorectal cancer has a 90% survival rate.
🟢 According to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected early, and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%.
Cancer doesn’t care. Even celebrities are susceptible. Take the time for yourself. For your family. For all of your loved ones.

The Clinic is Open. The parking lot and walk ways at the clinic are cleared - please be aware there are a few slick spots due to melting snow and ice. We are open for normal hours today, 8:00-5:00 (closed for lunch from 11:00 to 12:30).
