Hi Friends!

Sometimes picking colors for a soap batch is less about having a perfect plan… and more about going with my gut. 🎨🧼

I’ll start with an idea, play around with color combinations, and eventually it will just seem right! That's when I know what colors to use. No fancy technology or complicated process - just me and my intuition. 🤩

🫒 Ingredient Spotlight: Olive Oil

Have you ever wondered why olive oil shows up in so many cold process soap recipes? There’s a reason soap makers have been reaching for it for generations. 🌿

Olive oil brings some pretty special qualities to a bar of handmade soap. It helps create a soap that is:
🌿 Gentle & mild — perfect when you want a less-stripping cleanse
🫧 Creamy in its lather — giving those soft, silky bubbles rather than a huge bubbly lather
🤍 Conditioning in feel — helping create that smooth, comfortable after-wash feel

And when olive oil is blended with other oils in a cold process recipe, each oil gets to bring something different to the finished bar—hardness, bubbles, cleansing, creaminess, or conditioning.

That’s one of my favorite things about soapmaking: every oil has a purpose. 🧼✨

Turns out, when you're running a small business, you're also your own marketing team, videographer, and hype squad. Some days, I'm pouring soap. Other days, I'm pouring over Instagram captions.
