We are deeply grateful for the incredible work being done through OhioSEE and for the Rural Health Transformation funding, which will allow us to continue expanding access and serving our communities with meaningful, lasting care.

Fran and I were thrilled to host Dr. Oz in Ohio today at Hopewell Elementary in Franklin County to show him the OhioSEE program. Thanks to Dr. Oz and the Trump Administration, Ohio will be expanding OhioSEE to rural communities statewide through the Rural Health Transformation Program so more kids will get eye exams and glasses if they need them.

Technology shapes how we learn, work, connect, and belong, and when it’s not built with everyone in mind, it quietly closes doors.

On Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), we’re called to look closer at the digital world around us. Are websites readable? Are videos captioned? Are tools designed for people using screen readers or navigating with low vision?

Accessibility in technology shouldn't be a bonus feature; it’s the foundation of inclusion. It’s the difference between participation and isolation.

At Sight for All United, we see this every day. When spaces are accessible, people can schedule care, access resources, and stay connected to the support they need. When they’re not, the gap only widens.

Our job? Make space for everyone, online and beyond.

We were so honored to attend the Athena Awards Dinner and hear more about the women in the Mahoning Valley and all the amazing work they’re doing! 🩷✨ We’re especially grateful today for the women who partner with us in expanding vision care across the valley.

Just a reminder that Tuesday, June 2nd is Sight for All Night at the Scrappers. It will be Opening Day, which will feature a Margaritaville T-shirt giveaway, plus fireworks. There will be live music pre-game in the picnic garden before the start of the game and our very own volunteer will be throwing the opening pitch. Sight for All United provides community vision screenings to our community- shelters, senior centers, events, wherever people already are.

While it does NOT replace a comprehensive eye exam, it’s simple, quick, and a good first step to see if anything’s going on with your vision. And if something does come up, we help you figure out next steps and get connected to care if you’re not already.
