Taking some time to process the passing of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry last week and enjoyed catching up on some of my favorite movies, including 9 to 5 and Legend. Actors really have such a magical position in our lives given that the entertainment that we are exposed to and the culture that we are raised in shapes who we are and who we become on so many different levels. I also love the paradox of Dolly Parton being a hyper feminine representation paired alongside the deep humanitarian and activist she was in her tireless support of Appalachian children’s literacy. Tim Curry‘s performance in Rocky horror picture show was definitely a part of my awakening as a sexual being in his bold embracing of his raw power, embodying the character of Dr. Frankenfurter without a hint of self-consciousness or shame.

when seeing the impact of such exposure, we could find ourselves standing in a new place wondering who else we might become or what other roles we might try on. You can come and ask some of those types of big questions about who you are what your inner nature yearning to express itself as this Friday night. Psychic fun Friday from 4-6.

Book your intuitive psychic session with Marie or your tarot card reading with Amelia and come with some questions about what your next roles might look like… you never know what you might uncover in yourself!

Good morning Spirit Wellians. My wellness walks took a little pause from recording as I’ve been navigating some setbacks with my old patterns revisiting of depression and anxiety.

When I find myself in times like these processing feelings and thoughts I believed I had managed well enough in order to function, I realize that some systems I put in place are things like high functioning anxiety, which eventually burns out and has to be processed as opposed to keep pushing through with hyper productivity.

My normal ability to do everyday tasks and things like cooking, laundry or self-care like yoga and taking time in nature even seem like a stretch. I have to learn how to soften and surrender into what I’m feeling, give myself time to feel heavy and sad and actually cry to express Some of my grief. This state is necessary before I can regain my composure and ability to connect to my center and begin to be creative and productive in the world again.

I am learning more every day what tools I have studied and practiced help me regain myself and center after experiencing different feeling states. All of the practitioners at Spirit Well offer support for a variety of things that you could be experiencing in your mind/body system as well.

come on in for some energy reset and check out a somatic drawing workshop this weekend with Neda to add another tool to your healing tool kit to help find your center.

Just to change it up a bit my wellness walk occurred tonight at sunset on the golf course behind my home and the sandhill cranes provided a beautiful soundtrack to a very special quality of energy and light playing off of everything in the most subtle ways. Sometimes all we need to do is follow the pull of our hearts to walk out into nature and to receive the blessings of the calls of the animals that share this place with us.

Happy Sunday Spirit Wellians! My morning walks are still providing grounding but after the emotional waves I’ve been feeling this week I’m grateful to have many practices that help. Join me this Tuesday at 7 PM for a midweek refresh learning how to do some traditional yogic breathing with essential oils to help balance all kinds of emotion. Just the midweek reset we could all use!

Humane Society of the Treasure Coast has been doing incredible work the past month managing two of the worst animal hoarding cases Martin County has ever seen and the recent seizure of 36 border collies from a Palm city home is currently overwhelming their already stretched resources. after receiving 90 animals from the previous case in Stuart they are in desperate need of supplies like old towels, wee wee pads, Grooming supplies and such. we will be starting a donation collection at Spirit Well if you would like to drop off any physical supplies, but I also encourage everyone to donate financial aid to their organization directly so they can buy what they need as the animals continued care will be significant.

Sending so many blessings to these innocent animals, hoping that they will find forever homes that will give them the peace and joy that they deserve .
