Yeah I definitely regret this morning’s delicious, colorful bowl of blueberry, sprout, and nut goodness — NOT! 😂
But here’s the thing, Fiber Fam. Healthy eating is more than just choosing foods that are “good for you.” It’s about understanding the full complexity of our food system.
What I mean is this: It’s possible to grow food that may be good for us as humans, but what if we’re punishing the environment in the process? We have to open our mind to the effect our dietary choices have not just on ourselves, but on this planet.
Today’s population is a shade under 8 billion. In 1800 it was 1 billion… In 1900, 2 billion. In 2050 it will be 11 billion!😬
We’ve gone from 1 billion to 11 billion humans in 250 years. Each of us eats 1,000 pounds of food per year. We are some SERIOUSLY resource intensive, demanding creatures!
11 billion peeps X 1,000 pounds = 11,000,000,000,000 pounds of food PER YEAR that we’re asking this planet to provide for us. I don’t care if you’re a math nerd (like me) or not -- that’s a 💩 tonne of food to ask Mother Earth to provide.
We need to consider how we’re going to feed 11 billion people and not absolutely destroy this planet for our children and grandchildren. We need dietary options that are healthy, affordable AND sustainable...
That’s why I’m taking a stance and talking about this and other topics at the 10th Annual Food Revolution Summit.
If you want to know:
➡️ What top doctors eat to get more energy, better sleep, and the strongest immune system possible
➡️ Which foods to get more of
➡️ Which foods are hype>>science!
➡️ Which popular fads are HOG🐷WASH
… then you definitely don’t want to miss this.
I’ll be speaking on April 25th alongside some incredible colleagues who I have tremendous respect for. It’s always a blast when we can come together and drop some knowledge bombs!
The more awareness we can raise and the louder we become, the more we empower each other to reach for the best foods to fuel our bodies. You in?! Click the link in my bio to register today.
