Everyone has skin, and your skin is made up of skin cells. Since they are cells, they are often replaced with new skin cells. The problem is that the old, dead skin cells don’t have anywhere to go, so they stay on the surface of your skin.
Exfoliating is the act of getting rid of those dead skin cells. This is done because it can make your skin smoother, which is also good if you want to do stuff like moisturize or shave.
To exfoliate skin, choose between mechanical (scrubs, brushes, mitts) or chemical (AHAs, BHAs) methods, use gentle circular motions on cleansed skin, rinse well, and always moisturize immediately after to prevent dryness and irritation, typically exfoliating 1-3 times a week depending on skin type.
When your skin glows…confidence shows 🥰🗓️
