These are days you’ll remember
Never before and never since
I promise
Will the whole world be warm as this
And as you feel it
You’ll know it’s true
That you are blessed and lucky.

Commencement countdown officially underway…and the first cheerleader has touched down in Durham. 🎓💙
One by one, my favorite people are arriving, turning this weekend into equal parts graduation, reunion, and emotional support tour. My heart is already so full knowing the squad came to celebrate this moment with me.
Tassels ready. Tears pending. Let the festivities begin. ✨

When bestie books a cross country flight with zero hesitation to show up and support me as I graduate with honors from that southern ivy 😉I say bet….lets upgrade the home office to a guest room fit for the queen she is! Reflect the effort, there is no better way to show your appreciation. 💜

We attract what we reflect.

Take a look at those around you, who do you see?

Do they speak your language?

Own their truth?

Are their wants and goals in alignment with yours?

If not, it might be time to take a look in the mirror.

It’s impossible, said Pride.
It’s risky, said Experience.
It’s pointless, said Reason.
Give it a try, whispered, The Heart.

Photo seemed fitting for the caption. When relationships end we must transition from a “we” to a “me”. This can consume all of our positive energy.

The photo is old and hazy and has a translucent feel to it. Somewhat mirroring our feelings post breakup.

Feeling all the feels (assuming there no sociopaths in the audience) tired, empty and a shell of our former self. It only makes sense when it takes so much work to make ourselves whole again.

We must remember to be kind and patient with ourselves. Healing takes a lot of work. It hurts when something breaks. Acknowledging that is a very important part of the process. So many of us try to suppress these feelings and emotions with food, alcohol, drugs and even the distraction of other people to not have to feel the pain caused by a breakup.

Lean in, sit in the pain. Feel all the feels. We all heal and move on. Operate at your own pace. Our hearts are resilient but need a little assistance when healing. So talk about it, let it all out. This is how we let go and move on.

How many times have we heard “what do you have to lose?”

What would it look like if we asked ourselves “what do we have to gain?”

To create change we must create space. To create space we must let go of the things that no longer serve us.

There is such beauty on the other side of fear.

While standing in line at Trader Joe’s yesterday I struck up a conversation with the gentleman on line in front of me.

Yes, I can talk the ears off corn 🌽 .

He made mention of how much pain he was in with this cold weather. That his knee was keeping him from being as active as he would like and that was causing weight gain. He was suffering on many levels and while I had suggested the ginger turmeric tea that is sold at Trader Joe’s for inflammation, I also made mention of Wobenzym.

Wobenzym is a powerful drug-free supplement that contains the same natural digestive enzymes that the body uses to break down proteins from food, as well as the fruit enzymes bromelain and papain and the antioxidant rutin.

It is used worldwide by millions of people to help reduce chronic pain, control inflammation and speed up the healing process - livestrong.com

Forgot to mentioned this one while I was being interviewed last week. Feel free to add it to the list of holistic supplements that I use to combat chronic back pain after being hit by 2 cars in an auto accident.
