Menopause is more than just hot flashes. 🌿
Menopause is a natural stage of life that occurs when menstrual periods permanently stop, but the transition into menopause (perimenopause) can bring a wide range of changes as hormone levels fluctuate.
Some common signs and symptoms include:
✨ Irregular periods — Periods may become heavier, lighter, shorter, longer, or may occasionally be skipped.
🔥 Hot flashes & night sweats — Sudden feelings of heat, sweating, flushing, or feeling overheated can occur, sometimes disrupting sleep.
🌸 Vaginal changes — Declining estrogen can cause vaginal dryness, thinning of the vaginal tissues, decreased elasticity, and discomfort with intimacy.
Other symptoms can include sleep changes, mood changes, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, changes in libido, and urinary symptoms.
Every woman experiences menopause differently, and symptoms can begin years before the final menstrual period. If you’re noticing changes that are affecting your quality of life, it’s worth talking with your healthcare provider. You don’t have to simply “push through” the symptoms. 💚
Knowledge is power when it comes to your hormones and your health.
