It depends. A family history does not automatically rule out hormone therapy, but it shapes the decision. We look at who in your family was affected, BRCA results, breast density and any past biopsies. A personal history of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer generally rules out systemic HRT. And on hormone therapy, mammograms stay on schedule.
