If you’ve been trying to improve your IBD symptoms through nutrition for a few weeks and aren’t noticing dramatic changes, that’s actually pretty normal.

One of the hardest parts about nutrition and IBD is that progress does not happen overnight 🫠

Many of us have spent YEARS dealing with symptoms, inflammation, restrictive eating, nutrient deficiencies, stress around food, and periods where eating enough was difficult. When the body has been struggling for a long time, it needs time to rebuild 💞

Nutrition can absolutely support your health, but it is not a quick fix.

If you’ve been working on:
✨ Eating more consistently
✨ Expanding your food variety
✨ Increasing fibre gradually
✨ Correcting nutrient deficiencies
✨ Meeting your energy and protein needs
..it may take weeks or even months before you notice meaningful changes in your symptoms, energy levels, strength, or overall well-being.

Healing isn’t linear, either. There will be good days, bad days, setbacks, and periods where it feels like nothing is changing. I know how frustrating that can be, but it doesn’t mean your efforts aren’t making a difference.

We often assess symptoms at the beginning and end of our 3-6 month programs, and many clients report meaningful improvements over that time. By the end, they often have better food tolerance, a more varied diet, improved nutritional intake, and greater confidence navigating IBD nutrition.

It takes time to rebuild nutritional status.
It takes time to fibre train the gut.
It takes time to learn what works for your unique body.

Just because you don’t notice immediate changes doesn’t mean progress isn’t happening.

Keep showing up. The small things you do consistently (or baby steps, as I like to call them) matter 💞

The #1 thing we get asked is… “What can I eat for my IBD?!”

I know deep down what you really mean is….
➡️ How can I eat without triggering symptoms?!
➡️ How do I minimize symptoms without skipping my meals?
➡️ How do I know which approach to take when everything is confusing?
➡️ Who can I trust with my IBD? Who actually GETS IT?
➡️ Will working on my nutrition be stressful?

I hear you… you aren’t alone. You’ve probably tried several diet approaches and supplements if you’ve had IBD for a while. You probably feel like–what would I even change if I’m already health conscious?

Nutrition for IBD is all about using nutrition to help:
⭐ Reduce symptoms like diarrhea, urgency, constipation & bloating so you don’t have to make managing them a full-time job
⭐ Expand your diet so you feel more free in your diet
⭐ Reduce food fears so you can enjoy food more
⭐ Reduce your risk of flare ups

💜 Our patient Rebekah (shared with permission) had been in and out of a flare for over 15 years. After having IBD for so long and trying all of the diets, she wanted answers but wasn’t sure which route to go next. We worked with her and helped her come up with a plan to reduce symptoms, expand her diet & treat her nutrient deficiencies. Over the course of 6 months she was able to see incredible results & feel less stressed about her IBD. Feel free to check out the full story on our website.

The support you have been looking for is right here! If you aren’t sure where to start… Start with our June webinar series. It truly is the best offer we have ever put out into the world. The first launch will be at a super low rate and we will likely never offer something like this at this cost again.

What are you waiting for… come and join us!! 🏃

Have you ever stopped to think how much time & energy you spend trying to figure out what to eat for your IBD only to still be confused after googling it? 😵‍💫 Or maybe you’ve experimented on yourself to see what will reduce symptoms but ended up with only a few safe foods.

We want to help you stop guessing & have a plan! Not just a plan… but an EFFECTIVE plan 🙌

We have had exceptional results for our patients in our 3 and 6-month program and now we want to try to condense our top tips into a live & recorded masterclass + coaching for those that just need some next steps right now.

Here’s what’s included:
✔️ Live & recorded masterclass so you don’t have to stress if you forget something
✔️Answers to your question of “What to Eat for IBD” so you don’t have to guess or be confused by Google
✔️ Tools that will help you reduce IBD symptoms without over-restriction
✔️ Knowledge on how you can use nutrition to reduce your risk of flare up long term
✔️ BONUS: We will have extra time set aside for individualized coaching with the group each week so you can ensure the advice is relevant to you!

Also… for the first 10 people we will offer a access to add on a 1:1 consult so you can stop guessing and have a plan for your IBD! This is a huge add on that we haven’t offered in over 3 years.

This is going to be one of our best webinar series yet!

Who this is NOT for:
🚫 Those not willing to spend 2-3 hours learning & asking questions
🚫 Those who are currently working with an IBD-focused dietitian and wanting to do both
🚫 Those in a critical state with their IBD that will require frequent 1:1 care

Who this IS for:
✅ Those looking for more tools for using nutrition for their IBD
✅ Those who would like an initial starting point and quick answers

✨Scrambled Oats✨
Recipe:
• Mash one small banana in a bowl. Add 1 egg, 1/3 cup of oats, and desired amount of cinnamon (I used 1 tsp) and mix well. Optional but recommended: add a splash of vanilla too!
• Heat a small pan to low-medium heat and add your oat mixture. Scramble to your desired consistency.
• Add to a bowl and top with your favorite toppings! I used ~1/2 cup yogurt, sliced strawberries, pecans, and a sprinkle of cacao nibs and maple syrup.

When you are frustrated because you tried something and you…..

➡️ Noticed symptoms with it
➡️ It felt like it didn’t work
➡️ You wanted to quit

We always remind people to slow it down…. To take “baby steps”

But we forget it’s expected for it to be a bumpy journey- sometimes things will take more time than you thought….

Sometimes the outcome will be improved and it will be so slow much time will pass that you won’t notice…. Until you do.

As someone who’s helped people with this for over 11 years… seen it personally and seen it play out within a group practice over and over again… baby steps aren’t smooth.

And we don’t expect them to be. 🤍

Making changes with food and nutrition often comes with some very valid fears

Honoring your fear to me is the first step of building new and helpful patterns

To me this means- validating your experience. Making room for fear but not letting it run the show…

When we ignore fear all together - ironically sometimes it can keep us stuck fear

However if we recognize we are in it - there is an opportunity to make room for more possibilities and ultimately changes and new ways of doing things
