🚨 HEAT WAVE ALERT: South Carolina Summer Is Showing Off Again!

As temperatures climb this week, CB House Calls wants to remind everyone to take the heat seriously. Excessive heat can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke if you're not careful.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:

💧 Hydrate Early & Often
Don't wait until you're thirsty. Drink water throughout the day, especially if you're spending time outdoors.

🧊 Avoid Peak Heat Hours
Try to limit outdoor activities between 11 AM and 4 PM, when temperatures are at their highest.

👕 Dress for the Weather
Light-colored, loose-fitting clothing can help your body stay cooler.

🏠 Take Frequent Cooling Breaks
If you're working outside, find shade or air conditioning regularly to give your body a chance to recover.

👶👵 Check on Vulnerable Family Members
Children, older adults, and those with chronic medical conditions are especially susceptible to heat-related illnesses.

🐾 Don't Forget Your Pets
Ensure they have plenty of fresh water and never leave them in a parked vehicle.

March was one for the books at CB House Calls, and it’s a reminder of just how much easier healthcare can be 👏

We served approximately 60 patients, traveling all throughout Cane Bay to provide care right at home. That means no waiting rooms, no dragging sick kids out of the house, and no rearranging your entire day just to be seen.
