🔥 Hills I will happily die on as a pelvic floor therapist 🔥
(Pack snacks. This hike is steep.)
1️⃣ Peeing “just in case” is creating the very problem you’re trying to avoid.
2️⃣ Drinking less water to leak less urine is like unplugging your smoke detector because you don’t like the sound.
3️⃣ More Kegels is not the answer to everything.
If it were, we would’ve solved urinary leakage decades ago.
4️⃣ Pads are a tool.
They are not treatment.
5️⃣ “You’re getting older” is an explanation.
It’s not a treatment plan.
6️⃣ Urgency, leakage, prolapse, constipation, pain with intimacy, and night waking are not random.
They’re clues.
7️⃣ You cannot out-exercise poor bladder habits.
8️⃣ Your pelvic floor is part of a system.
If we’re ignoring breathing, pressure management, bowels, hips, glutes, mobility, strength, hormones, hydration, and the nervous system, we’re missing the point.
9️⃣ Not all pelvic floor therapists are the same.
I know that’s controversial.
But if you’ve tried pelvic floor therapy and it didn’t help, that doesn’t automatically mean pelvic floor therapy doesn’t work.
Some therapists teach Kegels.
Some therapists teach exercises.
I teach women how to understand and manage the entire system.
🔟 I probably teach differently because I lived it.
I wasn’t the therapist sitting on the sidelines reading about leakage in a textbook.
I was the girl p*eing her pants.
I was the girl dealing with bowel issues.
I was diagnosed with bladder and re**al prolapse by 19.
I know what it feels like to be embarrassed, frustrated, and convinced your body is broken.
That’s exactly why I built the framework I wish someone had given me years earlier.
1️⃣1️⃣ My goal isn’t to help you for six weeks.
My goal is to help the version of you that’s 80 years old, traveling, exercising, sleeping through the night, laughing with friends, and not planning every outing around the nearest bathroom.
And yes…
I’ll die on every single one of these hills. 🫡
