🌟 The People Behind AHG

This week, we’re highlighting Colin C. Edgerton, MD, Rheumatologist and AHG Board Member.

Dr. Edgerton is a nationally recognized leader in rheumatology, healthcare policy, and value-based care. Following his education at Georgetown University and fellowship training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he served 12 years as a U.S. Army physician, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and earning numerous military honors, including a Bronze Star.

Throughout his career, Dr. Edgerton has helped shape the future of rheumatology through clinical innovation, research, physician advocacy, and national leadership. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American College of Rheumatology and has advised healthcare stakeholders and policymakers on issues impacting physicians and patients nationwide.

As a member of the AHG Board of Directors, Dr. Edgerton helps guide the organization's vision while championing physician-led care and the long-term success of independent practices.

🌟 The People Behind AHG

This week, we’re highlighting Shane Caslavka, PharmD, Pharmacy Procurement / Oral Dispensing Manager at Articularis Healthcare Group.

Shane brings a unique combination of pharmacy, finance, and healthcare leadership experience to AHG. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from North Dakota State University and an MBA from St. Thomas University, building a career that spans retail pharmacy management, healthcare consulting, financial analysis, and business development.

Since joining AHG in 2024, Shane has led the organization’s pharmacy program, overseeing relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and distributors to support strategic partnerships and operational excellence. He works closely with practices to optimize inventory management, evaluate medication performance, and ensure the sustainable delivery of treatments for patients.

In addition, Shane plays a key role in advancing AHG’s medically integrated dispensing initiatives and collaborates across clinical teams to develop programs that support both practices and patient care.
