The intention of our cleanses within Light Body Living differ from current cleanse culture. Here, we deeper into devotional wellness—the relationship we have with ourselves and that which nourishes us. In doing so we are made aware of our whole being, rather than just a physical outcome.

There is something sacred about eating food that is still close to its original design—alive with color, beauty, water, fragrance, seed, and the intelligence of Creation.

Consider a piece of fruit.

A tree does not have to die for us to receive its nourishment. It willingly releases its fruit when it is ripe.

We receive the sweetness, minerals, water, and nourishment held within it—and tucked inside is a seed carrying the potential for life to continue.

The fruit falls.
The seed enters the earth.
The earth receives it.
And, under the right conditions, one seed can become another tree bearing fruit season after season.

This is the pattern of the Garden…nourishment that participates in regeneration.

Receive.
Nourish.
Release.
Regenerate.
Multiply.

There is abundance built into Creation.

Perhaps spiritual nutrition begins here. Not simply asking What nutrients does this food contain, but how does this food reveal the nature of God?

Beauty.
Aliveness.
Generosity.
Living waters.
Seed-bearing abundance.
Life continually giving itself toward more life.

When we eat this way, the table can become an altar and nourishment a form of communion.

We remember that we, too, belong to the Garden.

In my Chapter of the book, Christ Illumined: Stories to Awaken the Voice of Love, I share a Christ codex of resurrection through the 5 Sacred Rites. I also preface that the resurrection came first and that the body is an altar from which we are remade in God’s image.

Stop waiting until you’re SICK!

We’ve normalized brushing our teeth.
We’ve normalized showering.
Washing our hands.
Brushing our hair.
Caring for our skin.

We somehow accepted that caring for the inside of our bodies is optional.

Why?

The liver faithfully serves us every moment of every day as we encounter processed foods, environmental pollutants, synthetic chemicals, chronic stress, medications, disrupted sleep, and the demands of modern life.

The liver quietly serves us through it all…

Yet most of us don’t think about supporting it until we’re exhausted, inflamed, or searching for another quick fix.

What if we stopped treating our bodies mechanically and began treating them as living temples?

Like a creation that moves in rhythms.

A gardens that require tending.

Our bodies are no different.

Supporting your liver cultivates a rhythm of reverence.

It’s learning to pause, nourish, simplify, and cooperate with the wisdom God has already woven into your body.

A relationship with creation.
