Please read this patient testimonial from a short term rehab resident, Jose Gutierrez of Sunbury, PA.
"My discharge from the hospital with a transition to the Skilled Nursing Facility was a bit of a rocky one to start, but in the end it all worked out perfectly! The staff at Sunbury give off great vibes. My experience was good overall. It certainly wasn’t the kind of experience I was expecting to have at my age, but due to a situation out of my control here I am. Being of a younger age it was initially hard for me to be in a place with an older population, however the staff and even many of the other residents helped me to adapt. I even learned some Italian from another resident everyone calls Nana! I actually feel good and protected here. I could see the concern for my safety and it made me feel really good. I was able to achieve my goals in therapy such as being able to transfer myself in and out of bed from my wheelchair for one example, so I am now graduating onto a more intensive in-patient therapy program thanks to everyone here that helped me. The social worker Jaime helped me with the paperwork to transition to the in-patient acute rehab and I am grateful for her help in addition to therapy helping me get to the point I needed to be to get accepted into this level of rehab. I did it!!! Thank you! Everyone!!"
