June is recognized as Pride Month, a time to celebrate the resilience and lived experiences of le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) communities. Pride Month traces its roots to the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City, a pivotal moment in the broader movement for LGBTQIA+ rights and visibility. Today, Pride is recognized globally as both a celebration of identity and community, as well as an opportunity to reflect on continued progress toward inclusion and belonging.

At the heart of Pride Month is the reminder that dignity, respect and a sense of belonging should be reflected in how we show up for one another in our interactions with colleagues, patients and the broader communities we move through each day.

Considering triple feeding to help increase milk supply and support your baby’s weight gain? It can be an effective approach, but it's also time-intensive and tiring for many families.

Triple feeding typically involves three steps:
1) Direct breastfeeding
2) Pumping after the feeding
3) Offering your baby additional milk using one of several recommended methods

Dr. Jenelle Ferry, neonatologist and director of feeding, nutrition and infant development at Pediatrix® Neonatology of Florida, recently spoke with about who may benefit from triple feeding, its potential advantages and challenges and practical tips to make the process more manageable ➡️ https://hubs.li/Q04dVBx10.

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a day dedicated to raising awareness about digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities. It was first launched in 2012 to encourage conversations around the importance of designing technology that can be used by everyone.

GAAD focuses on supporting digital platforms, tools and content for individuals with a wide range of disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities. In health care, accessibility plays a critical role in how patients access information, navigate systems and engage with care. Organizations such as the WHO and CDC emphasize that accessible communication and technology are key components of effective, patient-centered care. Taking time to consider how accessibility shows up in our daily work, from the way information is shared to how systems are designed, can help create more inclusive experiences for colleagues, patients and communities.

At the six-week postpartum visit, many parents complete a screening for postpartum depression (PPD) and leave feeling reassured that they are “in the clear.” But for some, the difficult emotions don't appear until later. Feelings of sadness, anxiety or emotional “fog” can emerge at three months, six months or even beyond the newborn stage – and this is more common than many realize.

Dr. Zachary Rubeo of Maternal-Fetal Medicine of Texas, part of Pediatrix® Medical Group, spoke with about why symptoms can appear later, what late-onset PPD may feel like and steps to take if this experience feels familiar ➡️ https://hubs.li/Q04dSgD40.
