Preview: Classes to be held April School vacation April 18, 2023

Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) - nature immersion has been shown to reduce stress, depression and anxiety as well as foster overall positive mental and physical health benefits.

​Tuesday 9:00-11:30 ages 4-10 will meet to foster intrinsic care of self and nature by teaching overall stewardship. Learn to be comfortable sitting with yourself, read the land, hike safely, make a fairy house or your own "safe space", play in the stream. Bring a snack and come experience nature at its finest. If interested in feeding poultry or goats feel free to bring a treat to share (bread, carrots, banana peels (goats favorite!)... Classes held in woods at Purgatory Valley Farm in Sutton, MA so dress accordingly.

​Tuesday 12:30-3:00 ages 11-18 will meet to foster intrinsic management of self and nature by learning to BE quiet and still in nature and your mind. Learn what stewardship of nature means and how to carry this over to self and those we share our planet with. We will design and make a natural shelter, engage in trail maintainance skills practice compass skills and how to read the land.
Cost: $80.00/person. Group discounts: 2 person-$150.00, 3 person-$215.00, 4 person-$280.00, 5 person- $340.00, 6 person- $325.00

MINDFUL MOMENT: Authenticity is attainable but perfection is not. I remind my granddaughter to strive for excellence not perfection. Perfection is defined as; without flaws, defects or shortcomings. Impossible. Write down your strengths. Give #1, 2 or 3 based on how much of strength it is. Do same for vulnerabilities/weaknesses. Accept these! Decide to change only what you can.
