Elden Medicinals Helping you to build regenerative health & rewild yourself with wild-foraged mushroom therapeutics.

Sue was kind enough to share her continued experience with my birch medicine blend on how it has been helping her with her fibromyalgia, and body mobility. She has been consistently taking this wild foraged mushroom blend for a little over two months now, taking it with her ginger tea every morning. She has been able to progress much more in her physical therapy and can now even do a full body squat thanks to the inflammation support offered through this incredible blend!

The birch medicine blend is my primary inflammation, detox, liver, and hormone support blend and features wild foraged Chaga, Tinder polypore, and birch polypore harvested by me here in northern Michigan.

Mushroom medicine works! She has recently become a great grandmother and looks forward to being able to keep up and play with the newest little one in her family. Big thanks to Sue for being so open to sharing her experience!

If you are interested in this product for yourself, you can find it at my website eldenmedicinals.org!

Blessings to you all and wish you a wonderful day!

Looking for ways to support your liver, detoxification pathways, hormones, and inflammation? Look no further as mushrooms provide excellent support in these areas. But how?

Mushrooms function in similar ways within our bodies as they do in nature. Internally, mushrooms extracts such as those of Chaga, Tinder polypore, and birch polypore help naturally upregulate glutathione production- a powerful compound our livers make to help us remove microplastics, heavy metals, chemicals, and more.

They also support liver’s entire metabolic pathways, supporting hormone health. This is similar to how one would use milk thistle or dandelion root. However , in my opinion, better.

With a host of antioxidants and gut and immune supporting polysaccharides, inflammation can be tamed and the entire body supported.

This clip was taken from my talk on medicinal mushrooms at a Mushroom & Arts Festival for Everyone this summer.

If you’re ready to support your well being in this way, you can purchase my birch medicine blend on my website at EldenMedicinals.org

You don’t need to be afraid to forage for mushrooms. You just need to know what NOT to eat. Share this with all of your forager friends and mushroom enthusiasts!!! This is life saving knowledge. 🍄🍄‍🟫

Fundamentally, foraging is simple, and like anything it takes time, practice, and research to become adept. But even a beginner has a massive variety of easily identifiable, safe, edible, and medicinal mushrooms to choose from that nowhere resemble anything deadly.

If you don’t know 💯 for sure what something is, don’t eat it! Plain and simple. Utilize several sources of credible verification before confirming you have the species of mushroom you suspect.

The destroying angel is quite common, and I have been seeing it A LOT this year. It will commonly grow in suburban lawns and forest floors. If you see it in your lawn and want to remove it to ensure a child or pet doesn’t accidentally consume it, it is safe to touch and remove.

For those who love to make art or decorations out of things like this—Do not bring it inside to dry out. Millions of spores will be released for hours and also contain the deadly toxin known as amatoxin. These compounds can lead to liver and kidney failure and even death.

Not all species in the genus or family of Amanita are toxic. Some are edible, and even incredibly medicinal. The Amanita genus is not a beginner area to forage. There are experts out there in this genus, such as Michael Wilson of Harmony Acres .

Pro tip: Appreciate, but stay away from tall, white, beautiful mushrooms.

Turkey tails has MANY lookalikes. So why do I still say it is a safe and recommended mushroom even for beginners?

You learn more from your mistakes than your successes. With so many opportunities to misidentify turkey tail, a lot of space is opened up to understand fungi in general on a deeper level that will aid your identification in more complicated species.

This clip is taken from my class on medicinals mushrooms:therapeutic use & foraging I taught at Camp Compost .

Ready to dive deeper? I invite you to read my book, Wild Healing with Medicinal Mushrooms: Therapeutic Use & Foraging by ordering it on my website eldenmedicinals.org

My second camp compost was absolutely incredible. Last year, I solely attended as a participant. This year, I am grateful that I added to this community by teaching and vending.

The community of camp compost is focused on topics near and dear to my heart. Soil health, and healing the earth with regenerative and ancient practices that are equivocal to how I practice health. It is VITAL that humankind brings these practices to completely remove conventional agriculture and chemical, extractive practices of land management or we will continue reducing ourselves to our own extinction event.

Mushrooms are a part of this solution as they are in and of themselves, regenerative. Last year when I learned about Korean natural farming, which are ancient practices of using mycorrhizal fungi to enhance your garden and protect from diseases and pests - removing the need for chemical inputs. This year, the keynote Matt Powers spoke to us about the future we are now in, where conventional practices are falling away and how regenerative practices are the future. In this day and age of doom and gloom, it was delightful and inspiring to listen to. Matt is a hero in this realm and I’m so thankful for his work!

The sauna and cold plunge by Northern Heat Sauna Rentals
The ecstatic dance by Nicole Seifferly , the mineral spring and blue clay baths , gong medicine by Sara Eleanor Yarbrough and the land itself was so incredible. The people here, are kind and true. I am so thankful for the team that puts this incredibly intentional gathering together Camp Compost

This marks the end of the festival circuit I’ve been running through all summer. I have one more, and that is Great Lakes herb faire next month, but the rush is over. It has been quite the adventure, and I have learned and grown so much from this experience, and I believe I have succeeded in getting my name out there, and connecting with the grander community. I really want to make a difference in the world in my own way, and I humbly thank all who have helped me on my way in this venture. I have taken the leap from a 9-5 to make this happen, and support in any way means more than you know!

Polysaccharides from mushrooms are an incredible asset to wellness in today’s world of toxic burden, and chronic inflammation and disease. Younger and younger generations are being afflicted by the same conditions that are afflicting our elders. This is not normal, it is not okay, and it is a man made problem.

Additionally, beta-glucans can enter the GALT (Gut associated lymphatic tissue) and act as signaling molecules on tumors and cancerous cells. This is why in Asia they are routinely used for cancer treatments, even alongside modern medicine!

What you’re hearing here is only a sliver of the pie mushrooms have to offer us. They host a vast array of beneficial compounds like terpenoids, sterols, and an abundance of antioxidants.

Mushrooms pose as an excellent and safe solution to support our wellbeing. Humans have used mushrooms as far back as the Paleolithic era, up to 2.6 million years ago.

Mycofest was a fung’n blast!
Mycofest is bustling community with over a decade in the making by MycoSymbiotics and team that hosts experts in mycology, ecology, wild crafting, and sustainability from around the world to connect in community and learn from one another.

I had the honor of teaching the Saturday morning slot and had around 70-80 people attend my talk on medicinal mushrooms. I also got to learn from other experts, go on forays, and connect with good people like KK , Robin Greenfield , Jasper D | Fungi Academy Fungi Academy , and more.

Being at an event connecting with people that I have been watching on the internet and learning from for years was really special to me. It gave me a sense of progress that I am making on my mission to take Elden Medicinals very far, to teach people about medicinal fungi of the Earth and holistic and harmonious ways of living. I am so thankful I was given the opportunity to take the stage at such an event!

Now that the heat of my festival tour is over, it is time to dedicate more energy to foraging, rest, and building my connections and networking with aligned individuals. This entire summer has been an incredible ride and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Having left my full time job last fall to dedicate full time to this, I feel like my life is completely different than ever before and I love it so mush!

Now that I will have more space in the coming months, expect new developments, content, and collabs you haven’t seen before. Many harvests to be had from this season of movement and growth!

Blessings and peace to you a Mushroom & Arts Festival for Everyone fam and all, looking forward to my return ✌️

🍄‍🟫Ready to learn about the medicine cabinet of the woods!? 🍄‍🟫 I’m teaching in the pines this Friday at 6:00 . We will cover the medicinal mushrooms native to the Great Lakes & Midwest by going through the science, traditional & folk uses, safety, contraindications, pregnancy, and foraging and identification aspects of each species.

As a nutritional therapist and holistic health coach that has also had a very personal healing journey with medicinal mushrooms, I am very passionate about this modality and I am stoked to bring this incredible lecture to the pines that will leave everyone with the knowledge to begin using mushrooms that grow in the woods all around us, for your own health needs! We will be using my book as a guide throughout the class. Should you want to take the book home with you, you may purchase it after the class! I will be vending all weekend as well. I craft wild-foraged mushroom dual extracts right here in Michigan, forest to bottle. I invite you to stop by and chat about mushrooms and holistic health, and share in some free mycommunitea and my electrolyte water!

See you in the Pines!🌲🍄‍🟫
