On Saturday, we hosted an incredible event to wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month and our campaign with Horses For Mental Health. We want to thank Eli Alger from the Faster Horses band for performing such fun and beautiful music, and Emmy award-winning influencer, Sophie Grace for attending this event and helping to make it so special. Our fantastic herd of therapy horses perfectly demonstrated the power of the human-horse connection with the help of one of our instructors, Diana, Miracles rider Hallie, and our MC for the event, Tina! We would also like to thank our generous event sponsors, wonderful team of volunteers, and Graze and their delicious chicken lips! It was such a pleasure seeing so many familiar and new faces joining together to move Miracles forward. Thank you Miracles family, we could not do this without you! 🤗🐴💚

We are so grateful to ChildServe and our hippotherapy programs! 💚

Our Eastern Iowa Community Advisory Board recently visited the farm to spend time with our friends at Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr.! 🐴

Through our partnership with Miracles In Motion and generous community support, ChildServe offers hippotherapy services. During the visit, board members toured the grounds and saw firsthand how these impactful therapies make a difference for the kids we serve.

Hippotherapy is delivered by licensed physical, occupational or speech therapists who incorporate the movement of a horse into treatment sessions to help children achieve their therapy goals.

During each session, children ride trained therapy horses with guidance from their ChildServe therapist, along with a dedicated team of volunteers who help lead and support the horse. As a child rides, the horse’s rhythmic, repetitive motion helps improve balance, strength and coordination. Most of all, kids love engaging with the horses during their appointments!

Miracles In Motion May 30th Event Update: We’re excited to announce Nashville based country and western artist and Iowa’s own Eli Alger of The Faster Horses will give a special solo acoustic performance and share stories of growing up with his grandfather’s horse “Black Beauty.” Also, thanks to a local supporter, Emmy Award winning actress Sophie Grace will be at our barn! Sophie’s known globally for her starring role on the Netflix hit series “The Baby-Sitter’s Club” and started riding with and hanging with horses at age six!

We’re elated these fellow Horses For Mental Health Ambassadors will be in our neck of the country helping us to “make miracles happen.”
