I’m making this post to once again spread awareness of the scam pages that have been going around and impersonating artist in the shop that I work at!
Or claiming that they are an artist at Lola
Rose Tattoo Studio
One person even gotten scammed out of almost $500!!!! DO NOT LET THIS BE YOU OR A PERSON YOU MAY KNOW!
These scams have been mainly running out of TikTok! But there have been cases where pages are popping up as well!
Lola Rose Tattoo Studio currently had 6 artist
Nancy - doesn’t have a fb page I can tag other than the Lola rose page and her personal page. she usually conducts business with her personal cell, email, or through the Lola rose website.

And because scammers will use actual artist and their names to scam with, These are the only facebook pages for these artists and from my understanding the only pages these artists use to conduct business.
I’ve added pictures of the scam pages impersonating my coartist and the real pages on TikTok as many of these scams are happening there
I haven’t seen or heard about any impersonating me but I do want to put it out there of my TikTok account as well to get a head start!
If you are unsure you can call the shop, however if we are not able to pick up the phone you’re welcome to come check in person or message another artist to confirm if the person you’re talking to is an artist here. DO THIS BEROE SENDING ANY MONEY!
HERE ARE SOME THING TO KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR:
The ultimate goal is to get your money by collecting a deposit. Since deposits are standard in this industry it’s easy to fall to these scams.
- If an artist reaches out to you FIRST, especially when they will use use words like “hun” “discount” or they’re running “deals” for “last minute availability” 🚩
- Sketchy: like not giving you an actual address, dodging or not answering questions, getting frustrated, pushy for a deposit, or telling you that you can ONLY pay a deposit through whatever platform they send.
if they refuse to collect this deposit in any other way, even if you offer to stop by to pay in cash🚩
- look at the page! If it’s a recently made page and all of their post are made recently. 🚩
Or If they’re using a profile of another artist, especially pages with unique username like instagram or tiktok, they will usually misspell the username ever so slightly like add an extra letter or a number. So look up the username and if multiple accounts with the same content pops up it’s most likely a scam!
Ask them hella questions- about where they work, who they work with or even go into detail about the tattoo- again the main goal is to get your money. so answering questions about their profession should be no problem if they’re a real person/ artist. 🤔
or have a friend message them as well and see if they use the same “script”.
- ALWAYS do research on the artist!! Scammers will use work of different artist to post claiming they’ve done that work HOWEVER, There are actual “artist” that work in actual shops that do this as well.
cause what’s worse? Paying money and not getting the service or paying for a service that isn’t the quality that was advertised?
You don’t have to answer lol cause either way you’re scammed out of your hard earned money and that is not okay!
- If they are posting inconsistent quality of work- line work/shading/ color is shaky/ patchy/ rough for one tattoo and is incredibly good on the next one 🚩
or if they are posting work with terrible camera quality and the next post is something that looks like it came out of a magazine 🚩
If you are unsure that they’re being honest with posting- do a GOOGLE reverse image search and it will usually pull up the original post/ image/artist that done said work
And unfortunately since AI is now a thing these “artist” are using this to either edit/enhance their work or to use other work to remove or change backgrounds so it’s not an exact match. Or completely generating tattoos and claiming they done said tattoo.
All in all if it’s doesn’t feel right it probably isn’t.
