Client came to me with an idea that had a horrific twist on the classic Wizard of Oz

This twist included swapping the the original characters with some classic horror characters 👻

Hey hey💚

I would like to make this post to give you guys a little insight on what the booking process look like on my end, why I have a wait list and why it may take a little longer to get an appointment booked.😁

In the past years I just booked you as soon as you inquired about booking… That worked great but I started getting booked up roughly 4+ months out (got up to 6 at one point😳)

It’s a great problem to have, BUT…😓

I’ve noticed I started to experience more cancellations and rescheduling when those months start to roll in. Cause let’s be honest, you really never know what your life is going to look like that far out. And hey, I totally get that, life really do be life-ing 😩

So, not only did you have to wait that time for the initial appointment, you’d have to wait more time just to get rescheduled just because you (or I) got sick or something inconvenient happened. This sucks, Especially if you didn’t book future appointments ahead of time if we’re working on larger piece.

And because I was handling all the messages, booking, on top of designing and doing the tattoos- Getting back to everybody and booking everyone became overwhelming as I started to get behind on messaging, overlooking people and having some miscommunications. It started to take a toll mentally… 😞

*sigh* 😪

So then I decided to knocked it down to keeping it at 3 months booked and started to use the booking site to where I just send you guys a link and you can book whatever availability was good for you.

This was great for me because it narrowed down the booking-a-day part of the booking process for me 🥳

But OF COURSE I noticed that it started to get unfair for those who’ve had the link for a while but couldn’t catch a day that was open.

But I DID notice that 3 months was a good sweet spot to keep my books full and easier to manage. Less cancellations and reschedules. Although they do still happen it wasn’t as much as before. And it lessens the time in between sessions, the reschedules, and narrows down the amount of projects I was working on at a time.

So now , as yall may know by now, earlier this year I have acquired some help, an assistant. 🤩 My girl Molly has been a tremendous help with messaging. It’s been nice having someone who can understand how overwhelming this can be.

We’ve came together to decide that maybe going back to manually booking and having a waitlist would be the best idea.

So that’s how the waitlist originated 🤗
______
But why is it still taking longer to get an appointment booked if you’re on the waitlist? 🤔

Let me break some things down:

But I would like to mention a couple things first:
- The quality and originality of the tattoo are on the top of my priority list❗️Some tattoos may not be in my range of abilities or interest as there are a few subjects, styles and placements that I will not take on, so I will refer you to an artist that will be better suited for your specific tattoo or that may can get you in sooner if you’re looking for a specific time frame.

This narrows down the waitlist and allows me to book pieces that I know I can preform my best at.

- With that being said, I also will not push beyond my time limits of tattooing. I know some of you can go “hours upon hours” of getting tattooed, but I know my limits and I will not push beyond those. I’d rater take my time, take a break and go back in with a fresh perspective so that I am more confident that I have given and preformed my best for your tattoo.

So heres the breakdown:

Once you’re in my chair, your time is important to me, so I’m usually only able to get one person in a day.

I want to make sure I have enough time to make sure we are both on the same page about your design and you have my undivided attention. Because, ultimately, this is a permanent process- I definitely don’t want to rush anything and I definitely don’t want to put anything on you that you’d regret or are not happy with. 😤

So lately, All Day sessions have been my most booked appointments. If I am working on larger pieces, most of the time those pieces require multiple sessions. So, of course, taking more days off my schedule. 😕

So, since I’m usually only able to get one person in a day, I’m limited to how many people I can get in a week and a month. And because 3 months is where I’m keeping my schedule at, those times fill up pretty quickly. So taking longer for me to get to the next person on the waitlist. Especially those Saturdays 😅

However, once it’s your turn to get scheduled and you are still interested, you will have priority scheduling and you will have the opportunity to schedule multiple sessions if needed. If you have multiple pieces in mind you can schedule those as well.

Please keep in mind that I will NOT schedule a session unless you are FOR SURE of what you are wanting and a design is agreed upon. This will help me make sure I give enough time for the session and to make sure I am able and willing to do the piece that you’re wanting. I’d hate to waste your time and my time.

And, An appointment will NOT be made until a deposit is paid- however only one deposit is needed for multiple session- the deposit will transfer over to the next session so each session will be full price until the last session, unless you need to reschedule or cancel so make sure you have read over my deposit policy before setting an appointment 👍🏼

I am super grateful for those who are willing to wait- so I want to make sure I am being fair and give those who have been waiting the privilege to get scheduled and get the pieces you’ve been waiting on me to do for you. 🫶🏼

I want to sure I take care of each and every one of you individually because ultimately, you are the reason i can stay busy and can continue to do what I do.

And of course make sure I can schedule time for me, do some flash deals and giveaways for you guys, and not overwork myself.

If a cancellation occurs, I will try to fill that spot with an existing appointment or offer it to someone on the waitlist. I will try to fill that spot with something that I can make sure I can prepare for in the amount of time of notice. If I’m not able to find anyone to fill that spot or I have a very late notice- I will make a post on my page.

All in all, this process is a little easier to manage as it narrows down the amount of people and projects that I’m working with at once.

So I am able to focus on a few people at a time, take care of them, and move on to the next- rather than just getting as many people and projects booked as I can.

I understand it may be frustrating having to wait so long, but I want to be fair and once it’s your turn I will try my best to make sure you’re taken care of, have my attention, and you’re satisfied with your work.

Is this the process that I’ll stick with? Maybe🤷‍♀️ I’m still looking into making things easier and more efficient as I continue to learn and experience things as they go, but I want to make sure I’m fair to everyone and myself.
_______________

Im super grateful that I’ve acquired such an amazing clientele that keeps me busy by either booking or recommending others to book. 💚💚💚

But Im only just one person- and I want to continue doing this for you guys, but I need to make sure I can handle this at my own pace.

Trust me, when I first started this, I would have never thought that I would be this busy enough to have a waitlist??? Whattt???? 🥴

But I hope I can make it up to you when you sit in my chair. 🥰

And for that I Thank You💚

I Thank You for being patient, kind, understanding, and supporting me as I hope to continue to grow in this career and as an artist.

I have many plans ahead, so I’d hope to have continued support and I will try my best to make it worth it for you guys! 💚💚💚💚

Hey hey💚

I wanted to make this post to give a heads up on what my bookings are looking like at the moment..

From the projected waitlist at the moment, it’s looking like I will be booked for the rest of the year and going into next year!! 😱 🤩

So from here on out if you’re looking to get on the waitlist it’ll most likely be next year for an appointment!

No worries though, I have a few flash sales (And giveaways 🤫) in mind for the rest of the year so keep an eye out on my page🤭

Do not let this deter you from reaching out and getting put on the waitlist!❗️ I do use the waitlist to fill spots when I’m not able to find an existing appointment to move up when a cancellation or reschedule occurs!

In the meantime, if you’re looking to get something sooner, check out my coartist! You can’t go wrong with either one!

I’m super thankful that I am able to stay busy because of you guys! I wish I could be able to get you all tatted in one day 😓
I’m grateful for those who are willing to wait to get tattooed by me, it means a lot 💕

Thank You! 💚

In the meantime to make it easier please make sure that you’ve sent all the information and details for your ideas so we can get you a quote sooner!
