Honoring a Legacy of Compassion, Service, and Nursing Excellence!

The Betty Grier Gallaher Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the remarkable life and legacy of Betty Grier Gallaher, a dedicated nurse who spent more than 40 years caring for patients, supporting colleagues, and making a lasting impact at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

Throughout her career, Betty served in many roles, but her greatest passion was always caring for others. Whether she was working the midnight shift, mentoring the next generation of nurses, or simply offering a comforting presence at the bedside, Betty embodied the compassion, dedication, and heart of nursing.

Each year, this scholarship is awarded to aspiring nurses who share Betty’s commitment to exceptional patient care and a desire to serve their community through a career in healthcare.
