💙 A Gift of Life, Given in Love 💙

When her husband needed a kidney, she didn’t hesitate—she stepped forward and gave the ultimate gift: a second chance at life.
Stories like this remind us just how powerful living donation can be. A healthy person can donate one kidney and continue to live a full, active life—while giving someone they love (or even a stranger) more time, more memories, and more moments that matter.

✨ Why living donation matters:

It can save a life and dramatically improve quality of life

It often shortens or eliminates the wait for a transplant

It can help patients avoid years on dialysis

Living donor kidneys often work better and last longer

Behind every transplant is a story of courage, compassion, and hope—just like this one.

💚 Consider learning more about living kidney donation. You could be someone’s lifesaving match.

We Remember. We Honor. We Give Thanks.

This Memorial Day, we honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

At the same time, we recognize the power of selfless giving—seen every day through organ donation and transplantation.

Today, we pause in gratitude for all who have made the ultimate sacrifice—and those who continue to give others the gift of life.

🎥 Watch. Learn. Share. Save a Life.

This powerful video highlights the incredible impact of living organ donation—and how one person’s decision can change everything.

💙 Did you know?

A living donor can help someone receive a transplant sooner, often avoiding years of waiting.

Kidneys from living donors may last longer and work better than those from deceased donors.

Donors are carefully evaluated, and most go on to live healthy, active lives after donation.

Living donation is more than a medical decision—it’s a life-changing act of generosity that can give someone a second chance at life.

✨ You can donate to someone you know… or even someone you’ve never met.

Our team connected with the community, shared important information about kidney transplantation, and highlighted the life-saving impact of living donation. From educational materials to meaningful conversations, it was a great evening of outreach and awareness right here in Syracuse.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and learned more about how you can make a difference. 💙
