Tattoo Tales Tall and True - in 2012 I was tasked to identify a human torso found in collection at The National Museum of Health and Medicine in Silver Spring MD.
The cured and mounted human remains display a large tattooed back piece, tracking the origins of this specimen entailed years of research to discover the original artist and a host of images and characters in Japanese tattooing in the late 1800s through the early 1900s.
A free even for artists, collectors and the curious presented by me.
