The younger generation is curious, brilliant, and they’re getting outside too, y’all! They amaze me every time 🥹

Had such a beautiful morning with and .walker co-facilitating a hike + yoga + mindfulness session.

After a mindfulness hike led by Walt, I was grateful to spend time with them talking, laughing, journaling, and moving together.

We took time to check in with our bodies before and after movement and noticed how being in community, being outside in nature, and moving our bodies shifted how they said they felt:

“Lighter”
“Relaxed”
“Energized”
“Relief”
“Centered”

We went through journal prompts and talked about the hardest parts of the hike, how we moved through them, and how that connects to life and how we respond when challenges come up. We talked about how movement helps us with lifting our mood + expressing instead of suppressing.

We all had different experiences, but still ended up at the same destination, each on our own mats. A simple but powerful reminder. Idk about yall it my journey from 18-21 did not look like it does now and that’s thanks to so many pivots and lesson.

Stay focused on YOUR mat.
Keep going down your path ✨

An honor to be in it with them.

This morning I hosted a guest wellness session with the girls at Brighton in their girls group 🤍

And let me just say… the youth are doing the work too🥹

We hear a lot about what’s going wrong with young people, but there are also so many spaces where they’re showing up, reflecting, and growing, sometimes better than the adults 😂

When I got there the girls were ready. We started by talking about what “being well” actually means to us and kicked the morning off by each sharing one thing we’re proud of.

Then we did a “step forward if…” activity and talked about how our habits and reactions can impact our wellness.

Step forward if you’ve ever sent a text quick and later wished you paused first.
Step forward if you’ve ever spent too much time on social media and felt drained after.
Step forward if you’ve ever paused before sending that text and were glad you did.
Step forward if you’ve ever danced, played a sport, or moved your body and felt more confident after.
Step forward if you’ve ever used music to shift your mood.
Step forward if you’ve ever felt better after talking something out with a friend.

It was powerful seeing how many girls stepped forward for the same things. Sometimes we think we’re the only ones dealing with something, but a lot of these experiences are shared.

We also talked about different types of wellness and where emotions show up in the body from head to toe, and how learning to listen to our bodies can help us understand what we’re feeling.

We explored the feelings wheel too and talked about how there are way more emotions than just “good” or “bad.” Learning the language for what we’re actually feeling… and remembering the joy too.

Then we talked about ways we can take care of ourselves and each other.

And of course we closed it out with a little meditation and movement to wake the body up for the day. I always give the kids credit because starting the day this early is real work 😮‍💨

Our young people deserve spaces like this. Shout out to the people creating and holding them. 🤍

Happy February
Happy Black History Month 🤎

Am I gaslighting y’all if I say it’s almost Spring? We’re almost there ✨☀️

Thank you to everyone who came out to “The Celebration Flow” on 2/2. The energy, the joy, the movement, all of it meant so much.

The rest of February is light and intentional.

✨R&B Restorative Mondays at 6pm in studio to start the week slow with movement, music, and rest.

✨ Sunset & Candlelight Yoga at The Society for a mid week , mid month pause with candlelight, connection, and a refreshing juice to close it out.

This month still isn’t about doing more. Stay consistent.
It’s about choosing ease, presence, and care.

Come as you are 🤍 Link in bio

How are we doing? Reminder that Winter is a natural pause.

Before the rush of spring, this is a moment to reflect, soften, and release what no longer needs to come with you.

Join us for Thrive in Healing x Pausa Coffee: a Release Ceremony — a collaborative, grounding experience rooted in intention, gathering , and care.

Lisa of Thrive in Healing will guide a gentle yoga and meditation practice, leading into a symbolic release ritual. Together, we’ll write down what we’re letting go of as we prepare to step into 2026. Laura and Lisa will co-facilitate portions of the ceremony, holding space with warmth and intention.

This is a chance to clear space before what’s next.

This morning’s wellness session at Lincoln with the girls ✨🤎

We talked about the different ways we take care of ourselves and how one area of wellness always impacts another.

Getting our hair done and how that can boost our mental health.
Talking with friends and learning who’s actually healthy for us.
Having a support syatem and what that means, quality over quantity.
Eating the best we can while still enjoying what we love.
Loving on our bodies through the gym, dance, and sports.
Listening to music and being mindful of how what we take in affects us.

We also talked about learning how to pause before we react or send that text, because sometimes the thing we’re tripping over isn’t even worth our time or energy.

I walked the girls through a simple mindfullness and PAUSE technique before reacting.

And we ended the session by sharing one thing we’re proud of from 2025!! Because, the kids did big things too. Guide them to build that self esteem.

Our kids deserve spaces like this to slow down, feel supported, and rest too. ✨🤎

It’s that time of year again! Gentle Reminders and Humor for the Holiday Season ✨

The holidays can bring up feelings of grief or isolation. It’s important to be kind to yourself during this time. Surround yourself with loved ones whether it’s chosen family, friends, or community or take time to pour back into you.

A few things to remember:

Ask for support when you need it. It’s okay to lean on others.
Set boundaries around what you want (or don’t want) to discuss.
Create new traditions that bring you peace and joy.
Prioritize self-care and take moments for yourself amidst the festivities.

Take it one day at a time, and be gentle with your heart. Happy Holidays yall! Sending love ❤️
