If you’re not seeing improvements in your health/healing or not the level that you’d like, you have to understand that there is nothing inherently wrong with you, you are just missing something fundamental. That’s why I said functional medicine labs, supplements & herbs keep you stuck – not because they are wrong but because they can keep you searching for something outside of yourself when really what you need is to slow down, look at your life and resolve patterns driving dis ease at their root.

The dis ease is the medicine. Healing happens as naturally as breathing - your job is to support that.

It’s what you do everyday and who you are that make up your health or your dis ease

The path to how you want to feel isn’t in another test or supplement protocol or parasite cleanse, it’s in what you do everyday and who you are ❤️

Having a simple understanding of how your body works can open the door to true, sustainable, long term resolution of chronic issues. And it’s usually a lot simpler than people think😊

•Hydration.
•Nutrition.
•Sleep.
•Light.
•Relationships.
•Safety.
•Breathing.
•Movement.

All of these things influence your hormones. Hormones are messengers— so all of the inputs you’re giving your body are signaling those messages. Be the medicine 💕🙏☀️

The body has dozens of hormones regulating menstruation, reproduction, digestion, weight, appetite, mood, healing & so much more – These 3 big hitters cortisol, melatonin, & oxytocin are like the puppeteers influencing everybody else below them.

Turns out what influences them most is light, love & nourishment 😊☀️❤️🤗

Often when people have an issue there tends to be an isolation of that issue and the directly associated hormones. For example – there’s a blood sugar issue the focus is on insulin. There’s a period issue the focus is on estrogen. There’s an anxiety issue the focus is on histamine. But these hormones live in a big web like orchestra with dozens of other hormones. So when you isolate a problem, you miss the opportunity to actually resolve it and restore harmony to the system as a whole.

Fix the whole system, return to the basics, apply the fundamentals of health and you’ll be amazed at what your body can do for you.

We often talk about cortisol as the stress hormone.. and while it does of course regulate our stress response, it also regulates energy production, metabolism, immunity, inflammation, blood pressure, circadian rythm – and it plays an imperative role in hormone regulation (including reproductive hormones) as it serves as one of the body’s master signalers.

If cortisol is chronically dysregulated, if it’s high when it’s suppose to be low, or low when it’s suppose to be high… you’re not gonna feel well!

The approach here is not to necessarily try to increase or decrease cortisol with supplements or herbs, but rather to provide the environment where cortisol is naturally regulating itself based on the inputs it’s receiving.

Your body is VERY smart and it simply responds to its environment in an always working attempt to regulate and protect… so your job is to influence the environment and let your body do the rest.

Cortisol is deeply influenced by it’s perceived sense of safety in any given moment and by circadian rythm and it responds to natures time keepers

1. The light & dark cycle
2. Feeding & fasting cycles
3. Temperature
4. Activity

1 simple but PROFOUND way to influence cortisol is to align yourself with the cycles of natural light. Get outside to see morning sunlight first thing in the morning, and let it be dark at night and in your home after the sun sets.

Fun fact: The word cortisol is derived from the latin word cortex… meaning bark or outer layer, referring to the adrenals glands outer cortex where cortisol is produced. :)
