Shout out to Dan and Matt at Warsaw GMC. Thank you for helping us find the perfect vehicle.

Now let's give her a name!

🚙 WELL… I GUESS TODAY IS THE PERFECT DAY TO TELL YOU! 😂

Apparently October 2 is National Name Your Car Day — and we just happen to have a new vehicle that needs a name!

But first, a little PSA for my regulars…

💙 THE BLUE JEEP IS GONE! 💙

Many of you have gotten pretty good at knowing whether I’m at the store simply by looking for my blue Jeep in the parking lot. 😂

Well… we recently made a change.

Since I now live only about a mile from the store and really don’t drive much anymore, it just didn’t make much sense for our family to keep TWO vehicles.

So the Blue Jeep AND the Green Jeep have officially been traded in, and our two-vehicle family has become a one-vehicle family.

Meet our new BLACK GMC Acadia. 🖤

Which also means…

🚨 If you don’t see the blue Jeep outside The Polka Dot Tail, don’t assume I’m not here!

I AM! 😂

In fact, as we adjust to sharing one family vehicle, there may even be days when you don’t see my vehicle in the parking lot at all.

Now for today’s VERY important business…

SHE NEEDS A NAME! 🖤

And apparently we’re not the only people who name our vehicles! About 40% of people name their cars, and among those named vehicles, the ladies have a slight edge — about 53% are given a female identity. 🚗💕

So help us out…

👇 WHAT SHOULD WE NAME OUR NEW BLACK ACADIA?

And because it’s National Name Your Car Day, we want to meet YOUR vehicle too!

📸 Drop a picture in the comments and tell us its name!

Feel free to share if there’s a story behind the name. 😂

And if you’ve never named your vehicle before… apparently TODAY is your day.

Let’s hear those names! 🖤👇

🍪 IT’S NATIONAL HOMEMADE COOKIES DAY! 🍪

So naturally, we have a VERY important question for you…

If you walked into The Polka Dot Tail and saw your absolute FAVORITE homemade cookie waiting for you… what would it be? 👀🍪

Chocolate chip?
Peanut butter?
Snickerdoodle?
Oatmeal raisin?
Monster cookie?
Something stuffed, frosted or completely over-the-top?

Don’t just choose from our list — tell us YOUR favorite!

And here’s the second part…

👉 If cookies really aren’t your thing, what fresh-baked treat WOULD tempt you?

Brownies?
Bars?
Muffins?
Cinnamon rolls?
Scones?
Truffles?
Chocolates?
Something else entirely?

We’re doing a little research. 😉 And your answers may just help us decide what deserves some space at The Polka Dot Tail.

So don’t leave us hanging…

💗 Today is National Women’s Health & Fitness Day!

And maybe this is a good reminder that taking care of our health doesn’t have to mean completely overhauling our lives.

Sometimes it really is the little things. ❤️

Move your body.
Drink the water. 💧
Be mindful of the sugar.
Pick up a good book and give your brain a break. 📚
Get some sleep. 😴
Eat the fruits and veggies. 🥑🍓🥦

None of us are going to do all the things perfectly — and thankfully, we don’t have to.

Women spend an awful lot of time taking care of everyone and everything around us. Today is a good reminder to make sure we’re somewhere on our own list, too.

So instead of looking at everything you should be doing, pick ONE little thing you can do for yourself today.

A walk around the block counts.
An extra glass of water counts.
Going to bed a little earlier counts.
Choosing something that nourishes you counts.

Those little choices add up. 💕

Ladies, what’s ONE thing you’re doing for YOU today? 👇
