I’ve not been very on top of things since my surgery, but I’d love to see local folks at Blue Mouse Theatre tomorrow for the 3rd film in our Tacoma Menopause Movie Series, We’ll have some great expert panelists and will be our guest moderator. It’ll be informative and inspiring! Like this reel, and comment your most bothersome perimenopause symptom, and I’ll send you a code for $5 off the ticket price. Link to tickets on Eventbrite in my bio.

For some reason my audio didn’t synch up with my video after I added captions to my last reel. So here is the non-captioned version, that maybe isn’t so hard to watch. LOL!

Just a quick update on my recovery. So far so good (knock on wood!). Feeling a little better day by day. Listening to my body and giving it the TLC it needs.

Not much to say, still a little out of it. But I’ve “aced” my spirometer, and I’m getting ready for a walk around the recovery area before I head home! 💃 Thank you all for your support and kind words! I got this!💪🏻

I’ve been quietly dealing with something offline. But I figure it’s time to share this journey, in hopes it will help someone else going through something similar.

After spending the last 4 months of 2025 working on lifestyle habits to improve my health by my 60th birthday, I went in for my annual routine mammogram, which showed new calcifications in my left breast. Biopsy showed I had DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ). DCIS is also referred to as Stage 0 breast cancer. Because it was caught at such an early stage, I have the option of mastectomy, and I won’t have to worry about doing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or adjuvant endocrine therapy. My surgery should be curative!

Follow along with my new journey.
