Mary Bridge Brigade

Mary Bridge Brigade Since 1921, they have dedicated their time, their resources, and their vision to advancing the health interests of children.

The Mary Bridge Brigade is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to support and care for the children of our community through MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network. Long before Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 1955, a group of women known as the Tacoma Orthopedic Association (TOA), opened their hearts to the children of our community. In fact, this volunteer organization was the driving force in establishing Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Southwest Washington’s only hospital dedicated to the health care of children.

Mary Bridge Children’s Therapy Services in Tacoma provides care for children with developmental differences or disabilities through occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and related services.

Our Tacoma location is housed in our newest site across from Allenmore Hospital. Opened in June of 2026, this state-of-the art therapy center boasts 16,000 square feet of integrated therapy services made possible by the contribution and support of the Mary Bridge Brigade and community partners.
