Every year, The Palms Massage & Wellness has the honor of choosing individuals to recognize at The The Stonebrook Project Portraits of Hope Gala.

This year, we had the honor to choose four incredible women from the project in Tahlequah.

Their incredible photos, taken by Joel Hornstein, represent four different women in four different places in their cancer journeys.

Different stories, seasons, and battles.

We wish there were no need for The Stonebrook Project, but cancer has touched far too many families. So as long as there is a need, we are proud to partner with them to provide oncology massage, offering those in treatment a moment to breathe, rest, and feel cared for during an incredibly difficult season.

The Stonebrook Project operates through donations, and every gift helps make these moments possible. I’ll include the donation link below for anyone who feels called to help.

To our four Portraits of Hope honorees: thank you for allowing us to celebrate you. It is truly an honor. Help us celebrate their strength and resolve through one of their most difficult times in life.

Bonnie took one look at that vacant massage table and hopped right on to get some belly rubs, scratches, and all the attention she loves!

She didn’t have an appointment and normally we don’t accommodate walk-ins, but we couldn’t turn down that sweet face! 😂😂

Today has been deemed National Self Care Day and we are here for it!

Self-care can look like a lot of things.

It might be taking a quiet moment with a good book, going for a walk, getting enough rest, staying hydrated, setting boundaries, or simply giving yourself permission to slow down.

And sometimes, self-care means letting someone else take care of you.

Some client reviews put a smile on your face and let you know you are doing some things right.

We miss Rita (my mom) so much and her absence is rougher some days than others but I love it when she is remembered. It’s such a great reminder of where and how The Palms started, what our mission is and how we have grown so much.

Cheers to Dakota for a great review and to Rita for being one of the best!
