Plot twist in the life of a Tallassee girl. (Beth has always been the writer of this page.) Endings for new beginnings. ❤️ The true right door will open at the right time. 😉
Foundations were cracked…values were changed. One owner had heart, love, and devotion for the business, with Tallassee devotion and roots deeply laid. The other did not. If you want to learn more about what happened to a Tallassee girl who loves her town..the people..their lives…their circumstances..with all of her heart and soul ..(and was raised by Tallassee people too 😉) her page is public. Her Facebook has always been her memory album. A way to look back at all of the puzzle pieces that make up her beautiful life. Be grateful for what you have. Be grateful for the people God chooses to have into your life too.
The purchase of our store was not done in a morally correct manner. I know pharmacy is changing. Pharmacy profits are being squeezed too. Beth Barber Herren has a story to share eventually (what’s right is right and all will eventually come out). Sending love and hugs.
It’s hard to run a store (emotional abuse) when one business partner refused to communicate with the other. Grounds for legal retribution. Punitive damages too. He totally gaslighted and ghosted her in all ways possible (even carrying her out of the store one night after hours ..driving back to Auburn immediately after…and left bruises (both physically and psychologically which she has videos and pics of). He even called the cops on her when she was given a small window of time to try to keep the store. She tried to meet with him before the store opened at the drive thru to talk about her recruitment. (4 cops soon arrived…BUT because she was still an owner and was married to the other owner at the time.. his plans did not go as planned..that day.. because the sweet cops protected HER…However ..she was not allowed to recruit in store..not set her foot in doors..which was morally incorrect too.) The purchase was made without her knowledge. Without her consent. (The other owner verbally promised not to sell it to another pharmacy after the slight modification of our assets. No store for one owner.. still no alimony.. now no insurance.. and her future income, retirement, and job as a whole (24 years of pharmacy) was taken away. In return she got to keep the other half of the Tallassee house and the small retirement fund he was once keeping. The purchase was made at a very small fraction of its worth. (She could’ve easily paid that amount if given the opportunity). You’ll see familiar Herren Hill Pharmacy faces with the new Montgomery owned chain owner too.
All star past staff members were offered to work (some accepting) when Beth was recruiting for a full staff. The other owner refused to work it too in any capacity with Beth. That hurt too. One familiar face was even offered a salary (you’ll see her at the store now) to simply work it or work it in a partnership capacity too. That person said family meant more to her. Staying in Auburn..living there and not driving was priceless and the only way that person would work there is if she made the decision to actually buy it herself.
Remember folks…in life ..when poor intentions are made by parties involved, masks will be removed eventually and the truth will reveal itself to everyone in the end through actions. Though intentions. Through motivation. Through heart. Do unto others as you’d have them to do unto you…my Tallassee values etched deep. Tallassee deep.
Meanwhile ..Beth will keep rising. She’s not playing victim. Remember God sees and hears everything. He will not keep you in rooms where you’re not valued…always remember that. Know your worth. Know your value. Relationships ..true relationships.. true character… are your biggest assets.
