My name is Maura and I am a certified registered dietitian nutritionist, a Florida licensed dietitian, and certified in public health. I obtained two bachelor's degrees in human nutrition and dietetics at Kansas State University, as well as completing my master’s of public health in dietetics at the University of South Florida. I am dedicated to helping your child build a healthier relationship wi

th food. As a former ballet dancer, I understand the pressure young athletes face - from body image struggles to balancing performance and nutrition. My own challenges with food and weight management inspired me to pursue a career in dietetics so I could help others find balance and confidence in their eating habits. I do this every week…

I’m so busy that some days I can’t make a fresh meal everyday, but that doesn’t mean I have to prepare boring and bland foods due to time limitations.

Dancers often live life on the go so preparing meals a few days in advance can ensure healthy and flavorful meals that can be warmed up in minutes. Just like a dancer, I often prioritize my physical activity first… so I want to create meals and schedules that work around prioritizations that may not always be cooking a meal. Basically, let me help you make it easy!

Meal prepping isn’t for everyone either, so I am also great at getting creative and finding products that are easy and healthier to make when you only have 20 minutes to eat.

You may have seen my colors and wording have changed recently, but I’ve been working on completing a BIG project and dream of mine. 🎀✨

I’m a dietitian and I love coaching all sorts of people to meet their goals, but my dream is to help dancers build a better relationship with food so they can think and feel better. 🩰

As a past ballet dancer myself, I know the struggles that dancers go through, as well as their determination to be the best that they can be. I aim to be a voice of reassurance and guidance to help them achieve that in a way that doesn’t sacrifice their health, growth, and development.

So hear me out… Sweet Potato Ice Cream 🍦🍠

While everyone is running to get the waffle wafer ice cream at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot, I opted for the less popular option.

I’m pretty brave when it comes to trying food, so I said sure let’s try it… and it was super yummy!
