As the academic year comes to a close, we are proud to celebrate our graduating residents and the impact they have made. Three residents reflect on their training experiences, the support they found along the way and what comes next in their careers. 🥼
⭐ Dr. Ronald Harris, Jr., Transitional Year, St. Joseph's Hospital
Dr. Ronald Harris, Jr. is from North Carolina but has family throughout Florida. "Overall, it's been positive," he said. "It's certainly a steep learning curve with residency as a whole. I had support when I needed it." After graduation, he will stay here with the goal to transition to the anesthesia residency program.
⭐ Dr. Isha Jhingan, Transitional Year, St. Joseph's Hospital
"I was able to receive exposure to a number of specialties." After graduation, Dr. Isha Jhingan will be receiving training in her next specialty, dermatology, in her hometown of Oklahoma City!
⭐ Dr. Brandon Tucker, Pediatrics, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital
Dr. Brandon Tucker will be moving to Chicago after graduation for a fellowship! "It's been great. With our pediatrics program being a little on the smaller side, we got catered mentoring," he said. “Mentoring is the biggest thing in our program. It's been a supportive environment."
Congratulations to our graduating residents as they move forward in their careers 🎉👏
