Brow lifts are one of the more nuanced procedures we do. Most patients are not looking for a dramatic change. They are usually concerned about where the incisions will be, whether they will look surprised, how much of a difference it will make, and whether it can cause hair loss.

My approach is simple. The goal is to reduce heaviness in the brow and forehead and lessen the crowding around the eyes so you look more rested, not different. In many cases, lifting the entire brow is not necessary. Sometimes a lateral brow lift is the best option to subtly elevate the outer brow and open the eyes while keeping the result natural.

You can see a cleaner jawline and neck contour, and the upper face looks lighter and more rested. The brow is lifted subtly to reduce heaviness around the eyes without creating a surprised look. Deep plane facelift lifts the deeper support layer (SMAS), not just the skin, for a natural, not pulled result. Overall, she still looks like herself—just more refreshed.

Does “deep plane” mean a longer recovery? Not necessarily.
Deep plane describes WHERE the lift happens.

In a preservational deep-plane approach:
• We undermine less skin
• We focus more work in the SMAS/deep layer (a true support layer)
• It’s a natural glide plane - and the SMAS is different from skin (different embryologic origin)

Less surface disruption can mean less tenderness and often less bruising/swelling.

Facial fat grafting is one of my favorite add on procedures to a facelift.

There are 3 D’s of facial aging: descent, deflation, and deepening wrinkles.

A facelift helps with descent. Fat grafting treats deflation—the volume loss that can make the face look tired or hollow.

My approach is targeted and customized (not “fill everything”). Depending on your anatomy and goals, I may treat areas like:
• Temples
• Upper lid
• Tear trough
• Medial cheek
• Marionette lines
• Pre-jowl sulcus

And when skin quality needs extra support, nanofat can help improve texture. In select cases, I may also combine this with PRP to support overall tissue quality.

The goal: you still look like you—just more refreshed and balanced. ✅
