How much time should you plan to take off after a blepharoplasty?

For both upper and lower blepharoplasty, many patients plan for about one week of social downtime though many upper blepharoplasty patients find they really only need a few days. While recovery doesn’t require bed rest, some swelling, bruising, and visible sutures can be expected during that first week and many people feel more comfortable staying home while they heal. After that, most patients are ready to get back to their normal routine!
