Hi all!

It’s been some time since I’ve done a life check in here, for good reasons of immersive studies and life-level-up, (as much as for the other chaos and distractions we all know too well!)

I recently finished a powerful year immersive apprentice tract with the Barral Institute.

For those who don’t know, The Barral Institute is a health education and research organization dedicated to the advancement of Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, and New Manual Articular Approach manual therapies.

I am honored and excited to share the work of Jean Pierre Barral with both practitioners looking to add to their practice and lay persons looking for additional modalities to help with acute or chronic pain/ dysfunction or overall wellness.

So many years and so many testimonials, clients are always “wow’d” at what/how this work can help them!!

What I hear most is, “I think so many people should experience this, I just have no idea how to describe what you do!”.

A pioneer in the world of manual therapy, Jean Pierre Barral not only believes, but examples with his work and teachings that an educated touch can give us information about the body similar to that of the wine taster about wine.

We humans have the ability to touch with listening and receiving, creating communication. It is a practice to fine tune this sense.

In JP Barral’s work we manual therapists learn how to create a dialogue with the body that informs us of subtle imbalances. It is through this “education of touch” and the extensive study of anatomy, that we are able to locate lesional chain patterns that might be causing pain or dysfunction for a person.

With learned techniques and educated touch we can help the body “recreate, harmonize, and increase proprioceptive communication in the body to enhance its internal mechanism for better health”.

We can help the body by working with its own intelligence!

The study of this work has been a fire in my soul now for years. The many ways I get to be a part of people’s wellness and increased quality of life is an honor. Now sharing this work more with therapists is exciting!

It’s been a deep dive, immersive kind of 14 months and I have the honor and joy to share some of the journey toward becoming “Barral Institute Faculty”!!

This may not mean too much to many of you so looking forward to sharing more. For now just to say The study and commitment of time, energy, financial investment, travel, fear facing, reward feeling, have all been the wild ride to a new version of Self. Both professionally and personally, i feel different in every way!

I have had sooooo much help in this and will take time to thank and give back to all. For now I am coming up for a little air, eager to share the work in a new way, help more people and share more deeply the purity of Jean-Pierre Barral’s body of work.

As my mentor said often, this is an alchemy of Self. I feel beyond honored to have been seen and invited by this organization to be faculty but more so, family.

May I say to anyone not sure of taking changes and pushing yourself at “older age”(whatever that is for you)… don’t waste energy on that fear!!. It is crazy inspiring and deeply fulfilling to go for new goals and climb to new heights! We are capable of doing hard things and deserve all life can offer.

Have any of you hear of the glymphatic system? Perhaps not as commonly spoken of as the lymphatic system but wow how significant it is that we draw attention to it!

My cranial and visceral therapist self geeks out on anatomy and physiology and the potentials of self care available to us.

The sinus and membranous structures in the cranium are constantly draining and recycling interstitial fluids and CSF (cerebrospinal fluid). Read more on pic ⬆️

One of the reasons I so love craniosacral therapy and manual therapy for brain work as a practitioner is because we are directly working with and affecting this system. So good for us!

Other good ways to care for your glymphatic system… yoga, breathwork, cardio (bc breathing).

💫So I’ve been taking a sabbatical of sorts, and, like most surfing the energies of the world and trying to feel into my place in it.

💫 most of you know I have been committed to walking a deeply spiritual path for many years now.. most of my life if I think about it. 🤔

💫 I’ve always been called to serve, sometimes with witnesses (clients, classes, groups), sometimes just in prayer and meditation. Like so many of you I find great comfort the quiet moments with Spirit, Guidance, Higher Self, the energies that Be.

💫 My childhood was spent processing and alchemizing stress, personal and transpersonal, in the arts. It is no wonder this transferred to the healing arts in adulthood. Sound, song, vibration, at the forefront. 🎵

💫 the shamanic path has offered me the deep medicines of ritual, ceremony, tribe, and connection with all around us. I truly believe these indigenous ways are still a life line for us during chaotic times 🙏

💫 To my seekers who feel called to sit in circle and share, journey, align, heal, explore, expand, grow, connect, please come join us in our moon circles.

💫 so many of you have got the message to gather and so many are leading gatherings. So much yes to this! We need each other and the guidance available to us! 🙌

“Tis the season”.. for gatherings, ceremonies, healings, oh my ✨💫

So many changes and life updates over here! More on that to come.. for now I’m excited to feel the calling back to community and collaborations 🙏🤍

The ceremony series starts this month! Mutilple locations and medicines, remembering the power of ceremony and tribe, a variety of plants, teas, breath, and healing medicines for us to explore and expand our consciousness.

Ceremony for me has always felt like home. A deep alignment with spirit, universe, Self, and my brothers and sisters.

It has always been the anitdote to the chaos and distractions, the “trickster” energies.

It has always brought me to truth and alignment and the deepest sense of purpose and well-being. ✨

Water healing is another exciting offering! Many years ago I spent much time with small groups of strong healers offering craniosacral and somatoemotional work in the water. The experiences were profound! Today in the return of water wisdom and somatic healing, we are adding sound to the experience!! (More info to come on this).

And lastly, the return of our channeling groups! During covid groups of us gathered virtually to learn channeling tools, how to start, how to hone, how to access clarity for self or others, the benefits of this work in our bodies, minds, souls.

Channeling might be one of my greatest tools in life, not just for my work with others but as the antidote to depression, anxiety, and as a beautiful way to connect with this world beyond the illusionary realm. It is liberating and empowering work!
