Iāve spent thousands over the years, dying, cutting maintaining changing my outer appearance to run from every unsettling feeling on the inside.
This journey has taught me Patience. Hair growth is slow magic. Tiny daily choices compound quietly. Oilings, nourishment, protection, gentleness. It rewards consistency over intensity. Like building a life.
My relationship with myself improved. I started noticing how I speak to myself when I look in the mirror. The wounds of shame and insecurity that bubble to the surface. Every uncomfortable feeling that was previously numbed by the dopamine of a ānew lookāhad no where to hide.
I love my Goddess locks now. Iām proud to be soft and feminine and seen as such. Every cinnamon strand and loose wave reminds me of the strength it took to get here. āØ
I didnāt realize when I first started this journey that I was preparing myself for an entirely new season of life. What I thought was just growing my hair became growing into myself. Into softness without fear. Into femininity without apology. Into being able to rest in my own energy instead of surviving in constant armor.
These strands became preparation for my soft era⦠the version of me that no longer has to carry everything alone. The version of me that can be deeply feminine while being safely held, loved, and led by strong masculine energy that brings peace instead of pressure.
My hair grew, and somewhere along the way, so did my capacity to receive, and feel lovedāØ
