[PUBLIC NOTICE: REGULATORY COMPLIANCE UPDATE]
In light of recent 2026 New Mexico judicial rulings (State v. Bailey) that happened only 9 days ago, and the new Health Care Authority (HCA) digital laboratory standards effective March 1st, Truly Terrain is officially announcing the immediate suspension of all Live Blood Analysis (LBA) and clinical microscopy services. I thank God for prompting me to look into legality 7 days ago around my services and for guiding me in a proactive stance / response with NM State. I welcome your prayers and encouragement in this process.
As a leader in the wellness community for over 23 years, and 8 years here in NM, my commitment has always been to the highest standards of safety and legal integrity. While I believe in the power of health literacy, I am navigating within the state's updated stance on phlebotomy and independent clinical observation. (The new ruling was about finger prick testing only being performed in a hospital or CLIA laboratory. )
What this means for our clients:
Service Pivot: We are transitioning all microscopy-related offerings to a 100% Educational Consultancy format.
Continued Support: We will continue to provide professional wellness consultations and lifestyle education that do not involve clinical testing or phlebotomy.
Advocacy: I will be attending the April 1st New Mexico Medical Board meeting in Santa Fe to advocate for a clear "Educational Safe Harbor" for independent science educators.
We thank the Taos community for your trust as we evolve to ensure our services remain both cutting-edge and fully compliant with New Mexico law.
Gutsy Hugs, Rebecca Harder, Truly Terrain
