I’ve been recalling my pregnancy a lot recently. Perhaps it’s because my “baby” just graduated from high school last weekend. Perhaps it is the new growth of late spring.

Pregnancy is truly magical. And though these last few weeks have made me nostalgic for those times as my daughter prepares to leave the nest, I have also been able to reflect on all the ways in my life that I continue to be pregnant with the magic of creation.

On my decade-long journey of going off the news partially, then completely, and then slowly reintegrating it into my life, I have learned a lot about how to create a healthy news diet. I discovered what is necessary and what is peripheral and found a balance that works for me. Yayyyyyyyy Raaaiiiinnnnn! 🌧️ 🌧️🌧️What a wonderful day of rain all day! It makes me so happy. It's been so dry here in the Mountain West. Sideways wild rain is an opportunity to look for leaks. We've got this one stubborn one in the part of the house that we didn't build ourselves. So don't blame us! It's just part of the experience! Right? 😂😂😂

My neighbor created this. It's about a mile down a trail that only about 5 people use. His property is filled with art made of found objects. He is always barefoot. I see his prints in the sand. He has no electricity. This sculpture reminds me of the love between a parent and child. It's been here for years. My neighbor left last fall and hasn't returned. I hope he's okay.
